Exploring Life & Business with Stefanie Green of Face First Esthetics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stefanie Green.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey into esthetics started from a very personal place. Growing up, I struggled with my skin from the moment I hit my preteen years , painful acne and the dark spots that followed. I was the only one in my family who had skin issues, so no one really knew how to help. Like most millennials, I tried everything we saw on TV or at the drugstore. Proactiv, Neutrogena, toothpaste, witch hazel you name it. Nothing truly worked, it took a toll on my self-esteem and confidence.
In eighth grade, my mom finally took me to the doctor not a dermatologist , but she prescribed a retinol that literally had me shedding for an entire summer. As uncomfortable as it was, it changed my skin drastically. That experience opened my eyes and made me curious about the science behind skincare and how the right approach could completely transform someone’s confidence.
Years later, after going back and forth with the idea, I finally took the leap in 2018 and enrolled in esthetics school. Balancing work and school was not easy, but I knew it was my purpose. I dove in headfirst, earned my license, and got straight to work. I started off at a few spas to gain experience, but eventually, I realized I wanted full creative control over how I cared for clients and built experiences , so I decided to go solo.
Since then, it’s been a journey of growth, lessons, and resilience , mixed with success, milestones, and an ever-growing passion for helping people feel confident in their skin. Being an esthetician is more than a career for me it’s a calling rooted in self-discovery, education, and empowerment.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Running a skincare business is not for the weak. There’s this misconception that once you get your license, clients just start booking and everything falls into place. The reality is, it takes consistency, resilience, and faith. There’s also the mental side staying motivated when things aren’t going as planned, or when you’re comparing your journey to others in the industry. But every setback has taught me something valuable , how to be resourceful, how to pivot, and how to trust myself more as a businesswoman.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Face First Esthetics is my skincare studio and passion project, built around the belief that healthy, glowing skin starts with education, consistency, and confidence. I specialize in corrective skincare , particularly acne, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and overall skin health.
What sets Face First Esthetics apart is the holistic and educational approach behind every service. I don’t believe in quick fixes . I believe in transformation through consistency, knowledge, and lifestyle awareness. Every client I work with receives not only a treatment plan, but also guidance on nutrition, stress management, and home care.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the experience I’ve built and the results my clients see. It’s not just about creating glowing skin it’s about helping people rebuild their confidence and truly understand their skin. Face First Esthetics has become a space where clients feel supported, educated, and empowered to take control of their skincare journey.

I want readers to know that Face First Esthetics isn’t just about facials , it’s about confidence. My mission is to help each person truly understand their skin, heal it, and glow from the inside out. Whether someone is starting their acne journey, managing hyperpigmentation, or just wanting to maintain healthy skin, my goal is to help them fall back in love with their reflection , starting with their face, first.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
My view on risk-taking has evolved over time. I’ve learned that risk doesn’t always mean dropping everything overnight, sometimes it looks like building something meaningful while still managing your responsibilities. For me, the biggest risk was deciding to start and grow my skincare business while maintaining a full-time career. It takes balance, discipline, and faith to pour into your dream after long workdays, but I knew that playing it safe would only leave me wondering what if.

I’ve taken financial risks, emotional risks, and time risks , investing in education, suite spaces, and marketing before the returns were visible. But every step has taught me something about trust , trusting the process, trusting myself, and trusting that what I’m building will eventually support me fully.
