Exploring Life & Business with Simone Jennings of The Lightworking Group, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Simone Jennings.

Simone, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Honestly, my path into this work has been anything but traditional… and I kind of love that about it. I actually got my start in the spiritual world, working in wellness and spiritual centers as a life coach, energy healer, and intuitive consultant. What began as me trying to make sense of my own spiritual awakening quickly turned into helping others navigate theirs. I spent years offering sessions and teaching, and eventually opened my own office.

Somewhere along the way, my creative side pulled me toward marketing. I was studying graphic design in college and started helping the centers I worked for with their marketing and branding efforts. That experience opened doors into the corporate world, where I learned everything from campaign design to analytics to storytelling. That business experience became the perfect balance to my spiritual foundation.

Even as I advanced in my corporate career, I never stopped doing my spiritual work. My days were filled with meetings and marketing plans, and my evenings were spent working with my spiritual coaching clients. Those two worlds initially felt opposite, but I eventually realized they were always meant to work together—one taught me how to build sustainable systems, while the other taught me how to stay rooted in purpose and alignment.

Eventually, those two passions merged into what I do now through The Lightworking Group, LLC—helping soul-led entrepreneurs, healers, and high-functioning women build businesses that honor both their purpose and their peace. I guide clients to work with their natural energy cycles, release burnout patterns, and grow from a place of flow rather than force.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I’ve learned that the detours are often where the real growth happens. One of my biggest turning points came when I decided to become a mother through adoption. I knew instantly that my business couldn’t look the same anymore. The one-to-one, in-person model I’d been running for years wasn’t sustainable for the new life I was building. So, I made the difficult decision to restructure everything—shifting from local sessions to an online model that would allow me to serve my community and beyond.

That transition was both exciting and terrifying. It wasn’t just about learning new systems or technology—it was about learning how to be seen. Suddenly, I had to step out from behind my business name and become the face of my brand. Imposter syndrome, fear of visibility, self-doubt—they all came up. But those experiences became some of my greatest teachers. They forced me to do the inner work I now help my clients with every day.

Burnout was another real lesson. Balancing motherhood, business ownership, and everything in between stretched me in ways I didn’t expect. I was constantly pouring into others but rarely pausing to refill my own cup. That season taught me the importance of honoring my energy, setting boundaries, and redefining what success looks like. I started building my business around sustainability instead of survival—and I learned that delegation is an act of self-care, not weakness.

There were also moments where I questioned how to merge my two worlds—spirituality and strategy—in a way that felt authentic. For a long time, they seemed like separate identities. But over time, with courage and a lot of inner alignment, I realized that integrating those two sides was actually my superpower. That blend became the foundation for everything I do today: helping others build soul-centered, sustainable businesses without the overwhelm and burnout.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I originally started The Lightworking Group, LLC to help soul-led entrepreneurs and healers turn their passions into scalable online businesses. While that’s still a big part of my work, my practice has naturally evolved to also support high-functioning women in demanding professional roles—because they face many of the same challenges around balance, burnout, and alignment. My focus is on helping both groups grow sustainably, without the hustle, overextension, or exhaustion that often comes with turning their passions and gifts into thriving, fulfilling businesses.

I specialize in what I call energetic business alignment—bringing together marketing strategy, mindset work, and energy awareness so that my clients can create from flow rather than force. Through coaching, courses, and done-for-you services, I help entrepreneurs clarify their messaging, design aligned signature offers, and create marketing systems that actually feel good to maintain.

What sets us apart is the integration. Most coaches focus on either the inner work or the strategy. Real transformation happens when both are honored. My framework (Mindset, Skillset, and Toolset) bridges that gap. It helps clients clear the internal blocks that keep them stuck while building the external systems that support long-term growth.

I’m proud that The Lightworking Group has become a safe space where creativity, spirituality, and smart business strategy coexist. Our transformational work is deeply rooted in practical, energetic systems such as meditation, somatics, cognitive-behavioral coaching, executive functioning, human design, and energetic awareness. These tools help clients reconnect to their intuition, regulate their nervous systems, and make aligned decisions that support both their personal evolution and business success.

At its heart, my brand is about empowerment and sustainability. Our goal is always to help others build businesses that feel as good on the inside as they look on the outside. I want readers to know that success doesn’t have to come at the cost of your well-being. You can build a brand that aligns with your energy, your purpose, and your life.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
It’s hard to pick just one quality that’s been most important to my success—I’d have to say it’s a mix of resilience and self-awareness. For me, it’s the ability to push through fear and keep showing up, even when things feel uncomfortable or uncertain.

Entrepreneurship comes with a lot of tough decisions and curveballs, and what’s helped me the most is learning to slow down and really check in with myself before moving forward. I ask, Does this make business sense—and just as importantly, does it make energetic sense? If I know I have the energetic capacity to take something on (or the wisdom to delegate it), I can move forward in a way that feels sustainable. That balance between resilience and self-awareness has kept me grounded no matter what season I’m in.
