Meet Sheena Williams of SHE Productions, Inc.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sheena Williams.

Hi Sheena, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started my journey in entertainment as a publicist, representing some of the most notable names in the industry. That experience taught me the power of storytelling, how to shape narratives, elevate brands, and connect with audiences on a deeper level. But over time, I realized I didn’t just want to tell stories about people — I wanted to create them.

That’s what led me to producing. Today, as an Executive Producer and creative force behind some of television’s most talked-about shows from Love During Lockup and Love & Hip Hop to Married to Real Estate, Brat Loves Judy, Family Hustle, Oprah’s Easter and Christmas Specials, and more. I’ve built a career around crafting authentic, compelling, and culture-shifting content.

What drives me most is amplifying underrepresented voices and giving emerging talent a real platform to shine. I’m proud of how far I’ve come from managing press runs and red carpets to now shaping stories that dominate the airwaves. My path has been anything but traditional, but that’s exactly what makes it powerful.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Has it been an easy road? Definitely not. There have been plenty of obstacles along the way; moments where I’ve had to prove myself over and over again, work twice as hard, and push through doors that weren’t always open for me. But every challenge taught me something valuable and built the kind of resilience that you can’t fake in this business.

I started from the ground up, learning every part of the process and putting in the work to truly understand what it takes to produce great television. In an industry where it can take nearly a decade to reach an executive level, I was able to do it in about four to six years. That didn’t come from luck, it came from consistency, creativity, and an unshakable belief that I belonged in the room, even when others doubted it.

Every setback sharpened me. Every “no” became fuel. And now, standing where I am, I can say the journey with all its ups and downs was absolutely worth it.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
SHE Productions is a dynamic and innovative production company co founded with business partner Sheria Rowe. SHE specializes in world-class live event production while also creating compelling, thought-provoking content across various mediums. We’ve built a reputation for our expertise in real-time broadcasting, multi-camera setups, and live-to-tape production, capturing the excitement and energy of live performances, concerts, award shows, and sporting events. Our seasoned technical directors, switchers, and on-site production teams ensure flawless execution from pre-production planning all the way through the live experience.

But beyond the technical side, what truly defines us is our purpose. We’re deeply passionate about showcasing underrepresented voices and providing a platform for emerging talent to shine. Every project we take on is about creating space for authentic stories and producing content that moves people and culture forward.

This year marked a huge milestone for us , SHE Productions landed one of our biggest contracts to date with the Essence Music Festival. To be trusted to help produce one of the most iconic cultural events in the country was a full-circle moment for us. It was a chance to bring our creative and technical expertise to a stage that celebrates Black excellence, artistry, and community; everything we stand for as a company.

For me, SHE Productions represents power, purpose, and possibility two women who had a vision, bet on themselves, and are now redefining what leadership and creativity look like in television and live production.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I wouldn’t say luck has been the driving force behind my journey, I’d say it’s been faith, preparation, and timing. People sometimes look at where I am now and call it “good luck,” but what they don’t see are the years of hard work, sleepless nights, and moments of uncertainty that led up to those opportunities.

Now, don’t get me wrong I believe in divine alignment. There have definitely been times where doors opened at just the right moment or the right person showed up when I needed them to. But I also believe that kind of “luck” only meets you when you’re ready. You have to be doing the work, staying consistent, and walking in purpose for those blessings to find you.

On the flip side, what might’ve looked like “bad luck” at the time deals that fell through, people who walked away, moments I thought would break me those experiences actually redirected me to something greater. So for me, luck is just preparation meeting purpose. Everything that’s happened, good or bad, has played a part in shaping who I am as a woman, a creative, and a business leader.
