Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimo Kutz.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Im originally from South Florida. I moved to Atlanta in 2012 worked a few jobs met some great people, including my wife whom I got married to in 2017. I received my barbers license in 2019 which was not a easy journey, because of the schools shutting down without any proper communication but with God and persistence, I made it. I stayed consistent on my barber journey no matter what was going on around me, I knew my end goal. I opened my barbershop May of 2025, which is doing pretty good today. One thing I can tell any one is to “never give up , pray, and trust God”.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. Barber schools being inconsistent and shutting down. Adjusting to a whole different state without any family or friends here, until I met some really good people, Also just fighting to be a better me all the way around.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a licensed barber/ barbershop owner. I specialize in grooming services, Haircuts, facials, smp services, etc. I also am the owner of Choppa Zone Barbershop, where I work with some of the coolest people on the planet.
How do you think about luck?
I would say instead of have good luck , I would say I’m blessed because I truly feel like our lives have already been written, we just have to have awareness.
