Rising Stars: Meet Brooke Weathers of Bremen, Ga

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brooke Weathers.

Hi Brooke, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My passion for cosmetology came as a God wink- a surprise. I was failing “regular” college after only a month or so into it because I had no idea what I wanted to do. I have always loved to talk, loved different groups of people, and I have always been more on the creative side but cosmetology never came to mind when trying to decide on a career. I dropped out of College after that month and while feeling down, I heard an advertisement on the radio for Tennessee School of Beauty. (I am from Knoxville, Tn)
I decided I would go check it out and I fell in love. It was an immediate YES from the Lord. I signed up to start school in January of 2008 where I stayed until April 2009. The amount of knowledge I gained from TSB is unmatched. When I graduated in 2009, I decided to move to Cleveland, Tn to live with my sister who was attending Lee University. Very long story short, she ended up in Bremen, Ga where she was married in 2009 to her husband. My dad had also moved down here as well. With most of my family here and my sister finding out she was pregnant, I decided I would move down too. In April 2010 I moved to Carrollton, Ga. I was CONVINCED there was no way I could make enough money doing hair in such a tiny town, so I did it for fun for any friends I made and my family. I was a nanny for little while and then my sister got me ad job at a local Verizon retailer where I met the love of my life.
Finally in 2012, I began working front desk and as a hairstylist at Indulge Salon and Day Spa in Carrollton. While there, I got married and had my first child. In October of 2016, when she was almost a year old, a coworker of mine opened her own salon, Parlour 76-also in Carrollton, and offered me and a fellow stylist a booth rent position to be in control of our own schedules. The amount of experience and knowledge I gained from Indulge and Parlour 76 is incredible and I am forever grateful for the time I was able to work with and for some of the best women I know. During my time at Parlour 76, my husband and two kids moved A LOT, but ultimately found our home in Bremen, Ga where our kids attend school, our church is here, our gyms are here, our doctors offices… really all of life is done here. So, with after school sports activities, volunteering at the schools, leading worship and being a youth leader at my church, and being a mom and wife- it just made sense to move my business to our home town.
In April 2024, my dream became a reality. Wild Honey Hair Co opened and my life will never be the same. God has blessed me immensely with the very best team, the best clients and an amazingly supportive town.
The name Wild Honey is for my sweet babies, who are wild but sweet like honey…. Because Sour Patch Kids Hair salon doesn’t have such a nice ring to it.
😉
I wouldn’t be where I am or have anything I have if it was for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and my amazing family who have supported me and loved me through all my crazy ideas and plans!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
You know, what a deep question. But ultimately-the road has been smooth. God has given me everything I need, exactly when I needed it.
I got a little nervous at the beginning because I was supposed to be in a different building and due to the septic system not being big enough it didn’t work out… BUT GOD. He has bigger and better plans. My current building holds more chairs and shampoos bowls than I had hoped and it’s absolutely stunning in the middle of our cute town! I am blessed!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As a someone who has been in this industry of cosmetology for almost 18 years… I don’t think there is a point where we need to stop growing and learning. I would say I’m most known for my blondes-traditional foiling, and I love to teach my employees. I am most proud of my work ethic and think that kindness and love are bigger than any dollar I could make. Just because you see a group of 10 women, doesn’t mean there is gossip, hatefulness or pettiness. We all get along, love each other, root for each other and pray for each other in times of need. It’s a special environment!

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
I’d say if I’m going to share anything at all, it’s my love of Jesus. He is first and foremost in my life. Then my family. Then my career. That will always be the order. If you want to know more about Jesus, please reach out to me. He will change your life for the better. Other than that- come see us at Wild Honey Hair Co for a high end experience in the heart of an adorable town!
