Hi Melissa, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey as a creative devotional writer began from a place of personal reflection and longing to connect more deeply with God through words. Writing has always been how I process life, but over time, it became how I worship. I started journaling prayers, scriptures, and personal revelations during quiet moments, never imagining they’d one day touch others.
As I shared pieces of my heart—through devotionals, creative prompts, and faith reflections—people began resonating with the honesty and hope in my words. That response reminded me that God often uses our personal healing as the blueprint to help others.
Today, my writing blossomed into a book! From Water Into Wine, was born from that same desire—to remind readers that every season, whether joyful or challenging, can be transformed into something sacred when surrendered to Him. Through its devotionals, prompts, and reflections, I invite women to see their own lives as living testimonies of God’s transforming power.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t always been easy, but every challenge has strengthened my faith and sharpened my purpose. The refining seasons taught me resilience, trust, and how to create from a place of surrender. From Water Into Wine was born out of those moments—it’s a reflection of how God turns our process into purpose.

I’m a creative devotional writer who helps believers see God in their everyday moments through storytelling, reflection, and intentional journaling. My work blends faith and creativity—using words, prompts, and visual devotionals to inspire women to pause, reflect, and grow spiritually.
I’m best known for writing with honesty and warmth, creating messages that meet people right where they are, yet gently pull them closer to God’s truth.
My devotional, From Water Into Wine, reflects that heart—it’s a journey of transformation that shows how God can turn ordinary moments into something extraordinary.
What I’m most proud of is the authenticity behind my work. I write from lived experience, not perfection. What sets me apart is the way I merge spiritual depth with creative expression—inviting readers to not just read about transformation, but experience it for themselves.
What does success mean to you?
I define success by alignment, not achievement. For me, success is walking in obedience to what God has called me to do—using my gifts to inspire transformation in others. It’s knowing that my words point people back to Him. If even one person feels seen, encouraged, or renewed through From Water Into Wine, that’s success to me.
