Meet Jill Pratt of Bloom and Ivy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jill Pratt.

Hi Jill, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Bloom & Ivy began with a simple act of kindness. When Tracy and her daughter Jill attended a family friend’s wedding, they noticed the couple struggling to arrange their flowers. Without hesitation, the two jumped in to help — turning what could have been a stressful day into something truly beautiful. That spontaneous moment of creativity and connection sparked a shared passion, and Bloom & Ivy was born. The rest, as they say, is history.

While balancing their teaching careers, Tracy and Jill began offering floral design services to couples throughout Georgia. As their reputation grew, they expanded their offerings to include event planning, bartending, and décor rentals. In time, both women transitioned from education to pursue their business full-time. Their newest adventure is a charming storefront, where they now offer custom floral designs, live plants, unique gift items, and more.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
While Bloom & Ivy has experienced incredible success, the journey hasn’t been without its growing pains. Staying ahead of industry trends, managing diverse personalities, embracing the financial and marketing learning curve, balancing supply and demand, and supporting a growing team have each brought their own challenges. The key, however, has been to face those challenges head-on. Rather than throwing in the towel when things go wrong, the team focuses on understanding what happened, learning from the experience, and moving forward stronger than before.

We’ve been impressed with Bloom and Ivy, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Bloom & Ivy has seen tremendous success throughout its five years in business. What began with just 30 weddings and a team of three has grown to nearly 100 weddings each year and a talented staff of twelve or more. The company’s service area has expanded across Georgia and now includes destination weddings as well. Through all this growth, the heart of Bloom & Ivy remains the same—providing exceptional customer service. The team takes great pride in building connections, creating beautiful spaces, and celebrating life’s happiest moments.
