My love for Christmas began long before THEventsEtc ever existed. As a child, I would watch my mother and grandmother transform our home into a holiday wonderland — the glow of the lights, the scent of fresh pine, and the care they put into every single detail. Those moments weren’t just about decorating; they were about creating joy, beauty, and a sense of togetherness that stayed with me.
As life came full circle and I got married and had children of my own, I found myself continuing that same tradition, creating those same magical memories for my family — decorating our home each year and making it special for them. What started as creating magical moments for my family quickly turned into friends and loved ones asking me to design their spaces too. That’s when I realized this passion could become something greater.
Over time, that love grew into THEventsEtc — a business built on curating elegant, memorable holiday experiences that capture the warmth and magic I grew up with. Today, I’m grateful to turn what once filled my childhood and my own home with wonder into a brand that helps others celebrate the season in style. Every tree, every garland, every detail is designed with intention — to create beauty, connection, and lasting memories.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I’m grateful for every part of the journey. Building a business — especially a creative one — comes with its share of challenges. In the beginning, I faced the usual struggles: learning how to price my services, balancing creativity with business, and gaining people’s trust in a luxury niche that’s all about presentation and detail.
There were seasons when I had to do everything myself — from planning and sourcing to installations — while still trying to grow and stay true to my vision. But every challenge taught me something valuable about consistency, professionalism, and the importance of quality over quantity.
Looking back, I see those obstacles as part of what shaped THEventsEtc into what it is today. It taught me patience, perseverance, and how to build a brand rooted in passion and excellence.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I’ve learned is that growth takes time — and grace. In the beginning, I wanted everything to be perfect right away, but I’ve realized that every stage of the journey serves a purpose. The challenges, the slow seasons, even the moments of doubt — they all teach you something valuable about who you are and what you’re building.
I’ve learned to trust my vision and stay true to my style, even when the road isn’t easy. Consistency, professionalism, and passion will always speak louder than trends. And most importantly, I’ve learned that when you lead with love — for what you do and the people you serve — everything else falls into place.
