Today we’d like to introduce you to Tasnia Malek.
Hi Tasnia, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was born in the East and raised in the West, and that mix of cultures has shaped the way I see the world.. and the way I capture it through my camera. Over the past decade, photography has become so much more than a profession for me; it’s my way of preserving emotion, connection, and love in all its beautiful forms.
I know how much the photos of my own loved ones mean to me. They’re little time capsules of the moments and people I hold closest to my heart. Getting to create that same feeling for others is truly one of the biggest blessings of my life.
Wedding photography, in particular, has a special place in my heart. There’s something magical about being invited into such a meaningful day and telling each couple’s story through my lens. My work has been featured in wedding magazines and online publications, but what matters most to me is that every image reflects genuine joy, love, and authenticity. Everyone’s story is very unique to them, and its truly an honor to be able to capture it for others.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced is time management. Alongside my full-time job, I also care for my elderly father, which makes my schedule quite full. Because of this, I’m intentional about the clients I take on and the projects I commit to. For me, photography has never been just a business transaction or about financial gain, it’s deeply personal. I dedicate my time to truly getting to know the people I work with, whether it’s for a single day or through the small, meaningful moments we share along the way.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
As a photographer, I bring a blend of cultures and perspectives to my work, which naturally influences how I see and capture connection. I can even find beauty in imperfections.
I’m known for creating images that feel genuine and full of emotion.. moments my clients can hold onto forever.
What sets me apart is the care and intention I bring to every project. I take time to really get to know my clients, so when I photograph them, it feels natural and authentic… like capturing the truest version of who they are. I’m proud of the trust my couples place in me to tell their stories with heart and honesty.
