Hi Kaneshia, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have always had a knack for helping people and bringing visions to life. That passion started as a young child. I had a vast imagination and used that creativity to detail elaborate scenarios.
In adulthood, the same creativity and attention to detail led to planning events for friends and family. I quickly realized I loved doing so. It never felt like work for me, but instead like a fantastic accomplishment. Seeing the dream turn into reality and watching plans move from paper into fruition always gave me the best feeling. Ultimately, it was always about putting the biggest smiles on faces.
Compliments and encouragements from those same friends and family led me to consider turning this passion into more than just a hobby. From there, Long Reach Consulting was born! LRC focuses on all things planning, from personal projects to events. The name is a nod to my hometown, where my creativity and imagination blossomed.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Long Reach Consulting is still relatively new. That aspect is both exhilarating and intense as I work to learn all of the nuances of successfully navigating our business. Ultimately, our goal is not volume. It truly is quality over quantity, with the ultimate goal of putting smiles on people’s faces. I believe the right experiences will come, and I’m grateful for the opportunities to share our story.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
The goal of Long Reach Consulting is to support the personal planning efforts of others. Our scope of work is intentionally broad. We have designed presentations and learning opportunities as well as planned social events from start to finish. If you can think it, we can plan it! At LRC, we take pride in the high level of service we provide. We see everything we do as a testament to the hard work, resilience, and creativity instilled in us from our community’s namesake.
What were you like growing up?
As a child, I was creative and filled with imagination. I loved reading and would finish books in a day. There was something about picturing another place or world that inspired me. That inspiration continues today as simple ideas take shape into something more meaningful. I aim to maintain that sense of wonder in all I do.
