Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeffrey James.
Hi Jeffrey, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Growing up in the islands of Hawaii I was surrounded by Beauty nature and music. I came from a family musicians and the time I was 16 years old I was already teaching music lessons at my fathers music school. As I finish high School I received a full scholarship to Hawaii Pacific University for music and band.
This is where I started my own bands playing in the local reggae circuit here on oahu. I started off playing as a drummer. But after a few years I transitioned to being a singer and guitarist. After winning some local Battle of the band contest. I started to record my own music. Few of my songs made it #1 on hawaii radio.
Eventually I moved my music career to Asia and started playing throughout the philippines. I appeared on network TV shows and was basically a pop star.
After several years of doing that I returned to the United States where I came back to Hawaii and continue my career as a solo musician.
Eventually in 2021 I moved to Florida as a music teacher and continued my solo is a career playing all across florida.
This is where I started to transition to being an entrepreneur and nothing businesses in real estate and such.
Now with the rise of my family. I dedicate most of my time to working with the kids and I only play and special events and corporate events.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There were many obstacles personal and business-wise. Most of the obstacles and challenges were singing contest and battle of the bands. Always trying to come up with something entertaining and trying to create something new.
Also living in the Philippines I had to learn a new language and adapt to it completely different culture.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Be consistent and use your gift.
