Today we’d like to introduce you to The Morning Aux.
Hi The Morning Aux, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Nicole Sade’:
My journey started long before The Morning Aux. I began my career as a journalist, dedicating years to telling meaningful stories that uplifted and reflected the voices of millennial women stories that often go unheard. After leaving the publication I worked for, I felt a shift happening within me. I knew it was time to tell stories in a new way, visually, vocally, and unapologetically. I wanted to not just write about conversations but be in them. That’s when the idea of hosting came to life. I had been approached about a few talk show opportunities, but none aligned with my vision or purpose. Then I met one of the producers of The Morning Aux and shared my heart for creating something authentic, bold, and representative of our culture. A few months later, everything came full circle when I learned they were developing a show and had me in mind. On June 2, we officially launched The Morning Aux and stepping into that space felt like divine timing.
Dj IamOneal:
It all started when my dad introduced to me to the movies “Juice” and “Beatstreet”. Those were the films my dad introduced me to that completely changed the way I saw music. There were a few scenes in particular that had me glued to the screen, completely fascinated by the art of DJing. Not long after, my dad bought me a boombox — and that moment became the bridge that connected me to both radio and DJ culture for life.
Through that boombox, I discovered a whole new world. I’d tune in for hours, listening to a range of DJs and radio personalities who helped shape my sound and vision. I was especially influenced by legends like Angie Martinez, Steve Harvey, Big Boy, and Sway in the Morning. They taught me, even from afar, what it meant to connect, entertain, and inspire through the mic.
As I continued to grow and study the craft, I crossed paths with Jacob better known as Classified Alias. I played him some beats I’d been working on at the time, and that meeting sparked not just a friendship, but a new creative chapter. Jacob introduced me to the rest of the RJV Media Lab team, and from there, The Morning Aux was born co-hosted by myself and Nicole Sadé.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nicole Sade’:
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Transitioning from being behind the scenes as a journalist to being live on camera as a host was a big adjustment for me. I’m used to telling other people’s stories, not necessarily being the story myself. Learning to be both seen and heard in real time, while managing different personalities and maintaining authenticity, has stretched me in beautiful ways. Every episode challenges me to grow, trust my instincts, and find comfort in vulnerability. It’s not always easy, but it’s building my confidence, sharpening my voice, and shaping me into an even stronger communicator.
Dj IamOneal:
I would say yes and no I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be, but the road here wasn’t a straight line. Along the way, I went through several start-up shows, each one teaching me something new about hosting, timing, and connecting with people.
Then one random evening, everything shifted. I went live on Facebook from the parking lot of Zaxby’s at 6:45 p.m. My topic? “White Toe Tips.” (Yeah, you read that right.)
Within minutes, the comments were blowing up. The energy was wild people were laughing, engaging, and tuning in heavy. That one spontaneous live showed me something real: I could do this. I could entertain, connect, and create moments that brought people together just by being myself.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Nicole Sade’:
I’m an author, blogger, award-winning journalist, and host who’s known for being both relatable and intentional. My work has always centered around amplifying the voices of millennial women, telling their stories with honesty and depth. On The Morning Aux, I get to bring that same energy to every conversation mixing intelligence, humor, and a little bit of real talk. I’m proud that I’ve created a lane where women feel seen, heard, and understood. What sets me apart is my authenticity, I don’t try to fit into what media “should” look like. I show up as myself, and that’s what resonates with my audience.
Dj IamOneal:
Today, I’ve built a career doing exactly what I love being a full-time DJ and co-host of The Morning Aux. I’ve always believed my purpose is to make people’s day better, whether that’s through a wedding set, a packed-out party, or a major event. I specialize in creating good vibes and unforgettable moments wherever I go.
People know me for being the life of the party always bringing energy, authenticity, and heart. Outside of music, I’m also proud to be a devoted husband, which keeps me grounded and inspired.
One of my proudest accomplishments has been carving out my own lane in the DJ world and creating opportunities for others through my new Boiler Room style, yet eclectic DJ experience, The Jvngle Green Room. It’s more than an event it’s a movement that celebrates culture, creativity, and connection.
What sets me apart is my attitude, my sense of style, my approach to music selection, and most importantly, my integrity. I believe being a stand-up guy and moving with intention will always take you further both in life and in business.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Nicole Sade’:
I wouldn’t say I’ve been lucky, I’ve been favored. I’m a firm believer that everything happens according to God’s timing, not ours. Many of the opportunities I’m walking in now are things I prayed for years ago. I had to learn patience, trust, and alignment. When it was time, the right doors opened, and the right people appeared. I truly believe that when you stay faithful and keep doing the work, God places you exactly where you’re meant to be.
Dj IamOneal:
To be honest, I’ve never really considered myself a “luck” person. With my whole heart, I believe in God. Every door that’s opened, every opportunity I’ve been blessed with I know it’s because of Him. God has carried me through so much and led me to places I never could’ve imagined for myself.
