Today we’d like to introduce you to Dillon Mann.
Hi Dillon, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’m originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, and honestly, I’ve had a love for the arts for as long as I can remember. I started performing when I was just three years old and by six, I already knew I wanted to be on stage. My earliest performances were at my church’s annual productions — that’s really where I caught the performance bug.
Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to train with some incredible professionals and agencies, including Avalon Artists NY/LA, FFT NY, Wilhelmina, Patrick MGMT LA, and Dawn Rickus and Lance Beilstein from Talent INC The Studio NC. That foundation helped me develop both as a performer and as a professional.
Since 2013, I’ve been working in the film industry across the Southeast — both in front of and behind the camera. I’ve had the chance to collaborate with major companies like HBO, Cinemax, 20th Century Fox, and NASCAR, gaining hands-on experience in everything from acting and standing in, to photo doubling and production work.
One of my recent highlights was directing and playing a supporting role in the SAG feature “Aqua Mortem”
When I’m not on set, I’m proud to be the owner of Talent INC The Studio, where I help train and develop new talent for film, TV, and modeling. It’s incredibly rewarding to take everything I’ve learned and use it to guide others on their own creative journeys.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road — but I think that’s what makes the journey worthwhile. The entertainment industry is full of highs and lows, and early on I had to learn how to stay patient and persistent when opportunities didn’t come as quickly as I hoped.
When I first started, balancing my passion for performing with real-world responsibilities was a challenge. There were long hours, countless auditions, and plenty of moments where I questioned whether I was on the right path. But every experience — whether it was acting, standing in, or working behind the camera — taught me something new about the industry and about myself.
Another challenge was learning to build confidence and trust my own vision, especially when stepping into leadership roles. Becoming the owner of Talent INC The Studio came with its own learning curve, but it also allowed me to turn those early struggles into lessons I can share with others.
At the end of the day, every setback has pushed me to grow — not just as an actor, but as a creator and mentor. The road hasn’t been easy, but it’s been meaningful, and I wouldn’t trade the experience for anything.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I wear a few different hats in the entertainment industry, but at the core, I’m an actor, creator, and mentor. I’ve been working professionally since 2013, and over the years I’ve had the opportunity to be involved in nearly every part of the production process — from acting and standing in, to photo doubling, producing assistance, and on-set coordination. That variety has really helped me understand the industry from multiple perspectives.
What I’m best known for is my work both in front of the camera and as the owner of Talent INC The Studio. Our studio focuses on developing new talent for film, television, and modeling — helping them gain the skills, confidence, and industry connections they need to succeed. We train talent multiple times a week, coach them up to major showcases, and even help guide them through signing contracts afterward. It’s incredibly rewarding to see people I’ve coached go on to book projects and build their careers.
I’m most proud of the fact that I’ve been able to turn my passion into something that helps others. Acting has always been my first love, but being able to mentor the next generation of performers is equally fulfilling.
What really sets me apart is that I’ve worked both sides of the camera. I know what it’s like to be the talent — and I also understand what happens behind the scenes. That dual experience allows me to teach from a place of honesty and preparation. My goal has always been to help others avoid the mistakes I had to learn the hard way and to create a supportive environment where everyone can grow, create, and thrive.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I’d say the quality that’s been most important to my success is consistency — showing up, even when things don’t go as planned. In this industry, talent is important, but perseverance and discipline are what truly make the difference. I learned early on that every opportunity, no matter how big or small, can open the door to something greater if you give it your best.
Along with consistency, I’d add humility and curiosity. I’ve never stopped learning — whether that’s taking direction on set, studying a new aspect of production, or learning from the talent I train at the studio. Staying teachable keeps you growing, and growth keeps you relevant.
Lastly, I think having a genuine love for people has played a huge role. Whether I’m acting, mentoring, or producing, I try to lead with kindness and authenticity. That’s what connects people to your work — not just what you do, but how you make them feel in the process.
