Hi Madison , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Sincerely Yours Bookstore began as a dream shared by Mallory Gay and Madison Glines just two years ago. Lifelong book lovers, they wanted to create more than a bookstore. They envisioned a cozy, welcoming space where people could gather, make new friends, and feel part of a community.
When searching for the perfect location, Smyrna checked every box. It offered that charming small-town feel while still being close to the heart of Atlanta.
Since Mallory and Madison are basically the same person, designing the space came naturally. The store went through several redesigns, but one thing never changed pink would always be the centerpiece. Their goal was to create a space that felt like a fun grandma’s house warm, whimsical, and full of character. Every detail was intentional, from the vintage furniture to the thrifted décor pieces that give the shop its one-of-a-kind charm.
When it came to curating the shelves, they knew the focus had to be fiction with about 80% romance and 20% other genres. That way, even if you’re not a die-hard romance reader, there’s still something waiting for you here.
Today, Sincerely Yours hosts book clubs, themed events, and community gatherings each month continuing Mallory and Madison’s vision of a bookstore built on connection, creativity, and love for great stories.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The biggest obstacles we have faced is hands down doing all the renovations ourselves. We got our building location as is and we had to do a complete make over that took over two months to complete. Painting was by far the hardest part!

Sincerely Yours Bookstore is more than a romance bookstore. We wanted to create a woman forward environment with Sincerely Yours. As a romance focused bookstore we knew it was important to have a place where women felt comfortable and safe buying books that might be considered taboo in certain environments. Right now we carry all fiction titles and 80% romance 20% other genres. That way if you aren’t the biggest romance reader we wanted there to be a little something for everyone.
