We’re looking forward to introducing you to Brad Kolowich Jr. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Brad, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What do you think others are secretly struggling with—but never say?
I think a lot of people are quietly struggling with the pressure to hold it all together. Everyone’s projecting confidence while deep down wondering if they’re doing enough – as a parent, a partner, a leader, or even just as a human being.
We’ve built a culture that celebrates achievement but rarely talks about peace. I’ve trained some of the most successful people in the world, and what I’ve learned is this: it’s not a lack of drive that breaks people down. It’s lack of alignment. When your health, mindset, and relationships are disconnected, even success feels heavy.
Real strength isn’t about having no weaknesses. It’s about staying honest, staying grounded, and doing the inner work so the outer success actually means something.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’ve spent the last two decades helping people unlock their highest potential – physically, mentally, and personally. I’m the founder of KoloFit Studios, with private locations in Atlanta and Lake Oconee, where our focus is simple: world-class training, personalized nutrition, and a results-driven environment built on trust. I’ve had the privilege of working with everyone from professional athletes and actors to high-performing entrepreneurs and parents who simply want to feel their best again.
I’m also the author of The Bodyweight Blueprint, published by Human Kinetics, which dives into how anyone can build a world-class physique using nothing more than discipline, consistency, and their own body. The book represents what I’ve built my career around – empowering people to perform at their highest level with clarity, purpose, and simplicity.
What makes our approach different is that it’s personal. We’re not chasing trends; we’re building lifestyles. KoloFit was never about creating a fitness brand. It’s about creating a standard for what health, discipline, and fulfillment can look like when you align every part of your life with purpose.
Right now, I’m focused on expanding that mission through new technology, events, and partnerships that make elite fitness and mindset coaching more personal, more scalable, and more human than ever before.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
What breaks the bonds between people is usually the same thing that breaks the bond within ourselves – disconnection. Somewhere along the way, we stop listening, stop showing up, or start assuming the worst. We get caught in the noise, the ego, the pace of life, and forget that presence is the real currency of connection.
What restores it is honesty, humility, and time. The willingness to slow down long enough to see another person again – not through judgment, but through empathy. Whether it’s a family, a team, or a partnership, healing starts when both sides decide that understanding matters more than being right.
In the gym, in business, or at home, relationships are built the same way we build strength – through consistency. You don’t rebuild trust overnight. You do it through small, honest reps, day after day, until the bond grows stronger than it was before.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I’d tell him to stop rushing. Everything you’re chasing will come – but only when you learn to enjoy the climb. The pressure, the setbacks, the waiting – that’s where you’re being shaped into who you’re meant to be.
I spent years thinking peace would come once I reached a certain level of success or recognition. But the truth is, peace comes from alignment, not arrival. Keep showing up. Keep your circle tight. Keep your heart steady. The work will pay off, and when it does, it’ll mean more because you earned it the right way.
You don’t have to prove your worth, just live it.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
They’d probably say that what matters most to me is integrity – doing what you say you’ll do, even when no one’s watching. That, and being present for the people I love.
At this point in my life, it’s not about chasing more. It’s about protecting what truly matters: my family, my health, my peace, and the impact I make through my work. The rest is noise.
I’ve learned that success without integrity or presence isn’t success at all. The goal is to build a life that looks good from the outside but feels even better on the inside.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people say I left them better – stronger, clearer, more grounded – whether it was in a workout, a conversation, or a moment that reminded them what they’re capable of.
I hope they say I lived with integrity. That I gave my best in every area, as a husband, a father, a leader, and a man of faith and discipline. That I built something real and left behind a standard for how to live with intention, excellence, and heart.
Legacy isn’t about fame or numbers; it’s about impact. It’s about the ripple you leave in others long after you’re gone. If my boys grow up to lead with kindness, strength, and purpose – that’s the story I want told.
