Hi Renee, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My journey starts with trauma, tragedies to triumph. Yet, I speak from being a powerhouse of resilience, healing, and unapologetic truth.
The above along with the death of my 28 year old son gave me the vision behind Destiny Over Drama Radio Network,
A blessed mother of three and proud adoptive parent to her bonus blessing in her granddaughter. I took time to heal for myself and others. She has transformed a life shaped by trauma — including childhood abuse, teen pregnancy, domestic violence, and homelessness — into a legacy of empowerment. Her lived experiences are the foundation of her life’s work: Helping others turn pain into purpose.
She’s also an award-winning filmmaker (Paralyzed, A Better Baltimore, Crisis Call), a gospel recording artist with Grammy consideration, and a three-time Amazon Best-Selling author.
She merges her experience in media, music, ministry, and mental health to build a beacon for those who feel unheard or unseen.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
You know life for me has been no crystal stair- it done had tacks in it… one of the major struggles with the vision of DOD RADIO was aligning with people who supported the vision. A set up that was supposed to be my setback or even the end to DOD Radio was having a wicked jealousy and envy spirit steal my identity! While masking as my lead media person this individual locked me out of my email accounts, shut my website down and even began posting her photo on the stations logo with video of my voice and story but her face and podcast logo. Because she saw that this wast stopping me she hacked my tik tok and shut it down as well as my co host account! She made several attempts to steal contact from my YouTube page but eventually was unsuccessful! Ultimately she began to run the music from my station to a station she created! One of the greatest lessons learned from that was to know as much as you can about every aspect of your business so that you give not one person that much access to it!

I am a multi-faceted public figure who works across ministry, mental health, creative arts, and coaching. My Key Roles & Titles

• A degreed social worker with over 30 years of experience in behavioral and mental health services
• Ordained Licensed Minister of Faith

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
All the GLORY HONOR AND PRAISE goes to THE LORD JESUS the CHRIST! I have had many vessels along my journey who have allowed themselves to a conduit for growth and development for me. Those persons have been both positive and negative yet all apart of the plan. I believe and experience, ALL things work together for those who LOVE the LORD and are called according to HIS Purpose.
