Today we’d like to introduce you to Shireen Bowman.
Hi Shireen, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I have been practicing law since 2003.
I began my legal career in Atlanta with a federal judicial clerkship with the Hon. E. Clayton Scofield, III in the Northern District of Georgia. After she completed her clerkship, Shireen worked for a large firm in Florida, defending Fortune 500 companies against personal injury, products liability and premise liability cases. Thereafter, she joined the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office in the Atlanta Judicial Circuit where she was assigned to their Special Victims Unit, focusing on crimes against women and children. During her first year at the District Attorney’s Office, Shireen was named Attorney of the Year for the Non-Complex Trial Division which hears approximately 70% of the felony cases in Fulton County and includes all drug cases, thefts and burglaries. She served as Community Prosecutor for Atlanta Police Zone 3, which covers a large area of Southeast Atlanta. While a Community Prosecutor, Shireen worked closely with the Atlanta Police Department, the Atlanta City Council and community leaders to combat criminal activity in the neighborhoods comprising Zone 3. While at the District Attorney’s Office, Shireen successfully prosecuted numerous felony cases and was first chair in over 20 jury trials.
Shireen opened her own law firm on May 1, 2012, basing her practice out of Norcross, Georgia. Since 2012, Shireen and her team of legal professionals have focused their practice on representing people injured in car accidents. Shireen has tried car accident cases to verdict and, to date, has a 100% success rate. During her time in private practice, Shireen started a trial consulting company, Trial Partners, LLC, and regularly assists solo practitioners and small firms with trial preparation. She sponsors a summer internship each year for students to work in the field of international human rights and on anti-human trafficking matters, areas of law which are very close to Shireen’s heart.
Shireen developed an Estate Planning Practice and began focusing her practice on helping families plan to protect their loved ones by avoiding probate through the use of living trusts/
Shireen is married to Atlanta-native, Matt Bowman, and has two sons, Matthew & Henry Bowman.
“My clients are family. Even after your case is closed, you can call me any time. It is my pleasure and honor to help solve problems and make my clients’ lives better.” – Shireen Hormozdi Bowman

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I have enjoyed the practice of law immensely. I love history and reading, and enjoy applying the law to help accomplish people’s goals. Focusing on Estate Planning has been a JOY. I found my passion and really love helping people. I used to love fighting in court but, in this chapter of my legal career, I found passion and joy in helping families make their estate plan. I love empowering people with knowledge and tools to protect what they have worked so hard to build. I am also very passionate about the mission to build Generational Wealth through estate planning.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Estate Planning. We are empowering & educating clients with Estate Planning tools so their families avoid probate court, and there is a smooth transition of wealth to their loved ones. We are active on social media to educate the community and “break the ice” on the topic of estate planning.
What makes you happy?
Helping people. Educating myself and others.
