Conversations with Kadin Collins

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kadin Collins.

Hi Kadin , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
KraftzByKadin started with a simple idea — turning creativity into something that could make people smile. I’ve always loved making things, from small crafts to custom pieces that show personality and care. What began as a fun hobby soon became something more when family and friends started asking for my creations.
As I kept experimenting with different materials, my business began to grow. I started selling my lip and pet products at local events, sharing them online, and building a brand that represents creativity, dedication, and joy.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road for KraftzByKadin, but every challenge has helped me grow. Starting a business at a young age comes with a lot to learn — from managing time between extracurricular after-school activities and crafting, to figuring out pricing, packaging, and marketing my products.

Sometimes it was hard to balance everything or to find the right materials for my ideas. There were moments when things didn’t turn out the way I wanted, or when sales were slow, but I never gave up.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
At KraftzByKadin, I create handmade lip and pet products that are made with care, creativity, and personality. I specialize in making products that bring joy.

What makes my work special is that every gloss is made by me, with attention to detail and love in every step. I want my products to stand out not just because they look good, but because they make people feel something — happiness, excitement, or even inspiration to create something of their own.

I’m most proud of how much my business has grown and how many people my products have reached. It feels amazing when someone tells me that my lip gloss made their day or became a meaningful gift for someone they care about.

What sets KraftzByKadin apart is that it’s ran by a young entrepreneur who believes that age doesn’t limit creativity or success. I want to inspire other kids to dream big, start small, and never be afraid to share their talents with the world.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
When I think about risk-taking, I see it as part of growing and learning. Starting KraftzByKadin at 9 years old was a big risk on its own — I was putting my creativity out into the world, not knowing how people would react or if my business would even work. But I decided to take that chance because I believed in myself and my ideas.

One major risk I took was investing my time and effort into turning my hobby into a real business. That meant learning about things like budgeting, promoting my work, — all things that were new to me. Sometimes, I wasn’t sure if people would like what I made or if I could keep up with everything, but I kept going.

To me, taking risks doesn’t always mean doing something huge — it can mean trying something new, being brave enough to share your work, or stepping out of your comfort zone. I’ve learned that every risk, big or small, can lead to something great if you stay positive and keep learning from the experience.
