-Mini Biography By Rhema Alexandra-
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
This journey has not always been smoothe. I had a lot of challenges early on. I lost my mom on my 10th birthday and my father 4 years later to cancer. My maternal aunt ended up raising me and made sure I completed high school and went off to college. I feel in love with acting in College.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Actress Leslie Black – what should we know?
I’m an actress currently residing in Atlanta, Georgia. As an actress, I am able to tap into my artistry. I specialize in the ability to cry on queue. I’ve dealt with a lot of pain in life and as a result, it has allowed me to truthfully display pain through the art of acting on screen.
I’m most proud of my role in Lee Daniels show Star. I worked alongside of Queen Latifah and many other talented actors. My fearless vulnerable spirit sets me apart from others. Brené Brown said it best when she said “Vulnerability is about showing up and being seen. It’s tough to do that when we’re terrified about what people might see or think.”
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
I’m thankful for my family and close circle of friends who shows me constant support.
I’m also extremely thankful for my talent agent Jana Van Dyke. She has always believed in me constantly pushes me to go above and beyond.
