Meet Alexis Griffin of Crown’DLooks Esthetics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexis Griffin.

Hi Alexis, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve always been drawn to the beauty industry and the confidence that comes from taking care of yourself. I started my first business in 2016 at just 18, called Powergurl, where I sold custom fur slides, Brazilian/Malaysian hair bundles & wigs, along with mink lashes which was all the must-have trends at the time. That experience sparked something in me … a love for entrepreneurship and serving others.

In 2020, I decided to take that passion further and became a licensed esthetician. That’s when Crown’DLooks Esthetics was born. From the beginning, my goal was to create a space where women could feel relaxed, empowered, and safe while being taken care of. Today, I specialize in eyebrow enhancements such as soft ombré microshading, brow tinting, lamination, and brow reconstruction, along with Brazilian waxing.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The journey hasn’t been easy by any means. When I first started, marketing myself and attracting clients was a real challenge, especially since I’m naturally very introverted. I had to learn to step out of my shell, show up on social media, and push past the fear of failure. There were plenty of obstacles, from navigating slow seasons to even finding a place to call home for my business.

When I opened my suite, I took a huge leap of faith, starting fresh in a new city with zero clientele. It was risky, but it taught me resilience, discipline, and the power of believing in my purpose. Every setback became a lesson, and every small win reminded me why I started. Today, Crown’DLooks Esthetics stands as a reflection of that journey, built with faith, hard work, and a genuine love for helping women feel confident, cared for, and crowned.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Crown’DLooks Esthetics is located in a beauty studio in Lawrenceville (Gwinnett county), where I specialize in eyebrow enhancements and Brazilian waxing. I focus on creating a personalized experience that combines professionalism, comfort, and confidence. My services include soft ombré microshading, brow tinting, lamination, and brow reconstruction, all designed to enhance each client’s natural beauty while keeping the results soft and natural.

What sets Crown’DLooks apart is the experience I provide. From the moment a client walks in, my goal is for them to feel welcomed, seen, and valued. I take time to educate clients, provide detailed consultations, and ensure they leave not just looking good, but feeling good. Every service is performed with care, using high-quality products and techniques that reflect my dedication to excellence.

I’m most proud of the trust and relationships I’ve built with my clients. Crown’DLooks is more than a beauty studio, it’s a space for women to feel confident, cared for, and empowered. I want readers to know that every part of the experience was created with intention, passion, and love.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I wouldn’t be where I am today without the incredible support system around me. My mom has been my biggest supporter from day one. She encouraged me when I decided to change my education path and go to esthetician school, and she even modeled for countless services….even the ones she didn’t enjoy (yes, she really doesn’t like waxing 😅). Beyond that, she’s always been there with encouraging words whenever I felt defeated, lost, or unsure. I’m also grateful for my dad, who has always cheered me on and helped whenever I needed a hand, whether it was hanging something up or just supporting me when I share my work.

My clients have been such a vital part of my journey. Beyond trusting me with their brows and waxing, they support my business by referring others, leaving kind words, and creating a positive, uplifting environment during appointments. Their encouragement and loyalty mean the world to me.

Lastly, I’m thankful for my entire family & friends, who support me by attending pop-up events, booking services, and even engaging with my content online. Every like, share, and word of encouragement helps me continue to grow and inspires me to keep pushing forward.
