Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacy Fitzgerald.
Hi Stacy, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started Compliance On Demand because I noticed a pattern with so many business owners, they were amazing at what they do, but constantly overwhelmed by the business side of things. The bookkeeping, payroll, taxes, compliance, all the behind-the-scenes work that keeps a business running smoothly, was stressing people out and holding them back from focusing on growth.
In the beginning, I mainly worked with transportation companies, helping them manage their DOT compliance and stay on top of the rules and paperwork that come with it. But as I started connecting with more entrepreneurs in different industries, I realized the same challenges existed everywhere. That’s when we began expanding and offering our services to all kinds of businesses, from real estate brokerages to startups and small businesses across the board.
One of the biggest things I wanted to do with Compliance On Demand was make support affordable and accessible for everyone. I know what it’s like to build something from the ground up, and I didn’t want cost to be the reason someone couldn’t get help. So we offer super low-priced services that make it possible for business owners, even brand-new startups, to get professional bookkeeping, payroll, and compliance support without breaking the bank.
At the end of the day, we’re here to make running a business easier. We help people start, manage, and grow their companies while putting systems in place that allow them to scale strategically. What I love most is growing alongside our clients, seeing them go from trying to do it all alone to finally having the structure and peace of mind they need to thrive. Compliance On Demand is really about partnership, organization, and affordability, making sure every business owner, no matter their size, has the support they deserve.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not a smooth road, but I think that’s true for most people building something from the ground up. When I started Compliance On Demand, I was juggling everything myself, managing clients, handling the work, building systems, trying to brand and market the business, all while making sure clients were taken care of. There were times I felt stretched thin, especially in the beginning when you’re doing ten different jobs at once.
One of the biggest challenges was just building trust. When you’re offering compliance and financial services, people are putting a lot of faith in you. It takes time to prove your reliability and show that you’re consistent, accurate, and really care about their success. I also had to learn how to balance growth, knowing when to take on more clients versus when to slow down and refine our processes so we could maintain quality.
There were financial challenges too. I intentionally kept our pricing affordable to make sure startups and small businesses could access our services, but that also meant I had to be creative and strategic about how to scale without compromising our mission.
Looking back, every challenge really shaped how we operate today. It pushed me to build better systems, find the right people, and stay focused on why I started in the first place, to make compliance simple, affordable, and stress-free for business owners.
We’ve been impressed with Compliance On Demand LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Compliance On Demand is all about helping business owners take the stress out of staying organized, compliant, and financially on track. We provide affordable bookkeeping, payroll, and compliance support to businesses of all sizes, but especially startups, small businesses, and real estate brokerages.
We actually started out focused on DOT compliance, helping transportation companies stay up to date with all the required documentation and reporting. From there, we grew into other industries, because at the end of the day, every business needs reliable systems, structure, and someone who can make sure the backend runs smoothly.
What really sets us apart is our approach, we’re not a big, disconnected firm where clients are just a number. We take the time to understand how each business operates so we can create a solution that fits them. And we’ve kept our pricing intentionally low because we believe professional support shouldn’t only be available to big companies with big budgets. Whether someone’s just starting out or already established, we want to meet them where they are and grow with them.
We’re known for being reliable, transparent, and easy to work with, and honestly, that’s what I’m most proud of brand-wise. People trust us not just because of what we do, but because of how we do it. There’s a personal touch in everything, we communicate clearly, we care about our clients’ goals, and we truly want to see them succeed.
What I want readers to know is that Compliance On Demand isn’t just about numbers or paperwork, it’s about partnership. We help people build strong, sustainable businesses by handling the details that can easily get overwhelming. Our goal is to make compliance and accounting feel approachable and affordable, so entrepreneurs can focus on growing their business with confidence.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I think the next 5 to 10 years are going to bring a huge shift in how businesses handle their back-office operations. Everything is becoming more connected and automated, and I see compliance and accounting moving in that direction too, where systems communicate with each other, data flows automatically, and business owners have real-time access to their numbers without needing to dig through spreadsheets or email chains.
There’s also a growing demand for simplified support. Business owners, especially small businesses and startups, don’t want to juggle multiple vendors, one for bookkeeping, another for payroll, another for taxes. They want an all-in-one experience where everything works together and they have someone they trust managing it.
On top of that, I think affordability and accessibility are going to play a huge role. With more people starting businesses, especially solo entrepreneurs and small teams, there’s going to be a bigger need for services that don’t just cater to corporations, but to everyday people building something from the ground up.
Technology is definitely helping with that, but I still believe the human element matters. You can automate a lot of processes, but you can’t automate genuine care or understanding. So the future, to me, is about blending technology with that personal touch, using tools to make things faster and more accurate, while keeping relationships and trust at the center of what we do.
That’s exactly where Compliance On Demand is heading, growing with technology while staying grounded in service, transparency, and real partnership with our clients.
