Hi Brittany, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Birdie & Co Studio began as a solution to a need I personally felt. As a content creator and the founder of Loverly Grey, I’m constantly capturing photos and video for various projects. Over the years, I found myself searching for a space that felt elevated and inspiring, yet neutral enough to let the subject shine. That’s when the idea for Birdie & Co Studio started to take shape.

I wanted to create a place that photographers, brands, families, and creatives could all walk into and immediately feel inspired. The white walls, soft tones, natural light, and curated furniture allow the space to transform depending on the vision. Whether it’s a newborn shoot, family photos, content creation, graduation dinner, or baby shower, Birdie & Co is designed to be the backdrop that enhances your story – not overpower it.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Like any new venture, there have definitely been challenges along the way. Opening a studio space required learning a new side of business operations, scheduling, and client experience. However, being rooted in the Athens community through Loverly Grey made the transition feel very natural. We knew there was a need for an accessible, neutral, well-designed studio in this area, and seeing how quickly photographers and families embraced the space has been incredibly encouraging.

We’re continually learning and growing, and we’re excited to keep expanding our offerings and presence in the greater Athens area.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Birdie & Co Studio?
Birdie & Co Studio is located in Athens, GA and is a photography studio and small event space. The studio is truly designed to be a blank canvas for creativity. Our clean, neutral design allows each session to take on its own personality. We’re known for being a versatile space – we host everything from Santa Minis and newborn sessions to brand shoots, milestone birthdays, bridal portraits, and small private events.

One of the things that sets us apart is our rotating seasonal installations. We love creating beautiful, elevated backdrops, especially around our moveable fireplace, that make the space feel special and refreshed throughout the year. At the same time, we’re intentional about keeping part of the studio neutral and open so photographers and creators always have access to a clean, timeless backdrop whenever they need it. Our Christmas setup, for example, is available from October through the end of the year and has become one of our most-loved traditions. It’s also the backdrop for our annual Santa Minis, which has become such a special event for families in the community.

Above all, we’re proud to offer a space that feels welcoming, thoughtfully curated, and flexible enough to bring any vision to life.
