Today we’d like to introduce you to Joshua Pearlstein.

Hi Joshua, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’m an Atlanta-raised artist and songwriter. Music has been my north star ever since I first saw Michael Jackson perform – it hit me like lightning. I’ve spent the last few years developing my sound, writing, producing, and performing, and now I’m studying at Berklee College of Music to sharpen the craft even further. I’ve released multiple singles, earned over a million streams, been featured in outlets like EARMILK and Obscure Sound, and built a growing community around the art.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The path definitely hasn’t been smooth. There have been financial pressures, self-doubt, and the constant grind of balancing art and real life. I’ve had to learn patience, persistence, and how to keep going when the results aren’t immediate. But every challenge reinforced that I’m in this for the long run.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My work is rooted in storytelling and performance. I want every song to feel cinematic – like it lives in its own world. I write and produce my music, collaborate closely with other creatives, and focus on pushing the boundaries of pop and dance music. I think the job of an artist is to make people feel something, and I take that seriously.

How do you define success?
Success is staying true to the vision. It’s creating work that feels honest and timeless. If I can make art that moves people and continue growing while staying grounded in who I am – that’s success to me.
