Today we’d like to introduce you to Natstasia Alina Nicolas.
Hi Natstasia Alina, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started doing my own hair in the 8th grade. All throughout high school I did my own hair and people started to notice. People would ask me to do their hair often but I never took doing hair seriously. I would only do my friends’, sister’s, and my own hair. I was also in cosmetology classes in high school and my teacher would often use my work as an example. Fast forward to the second semester of my freshman year in college, I decided to start doing hair to sustain myself throughout college. I began taking clients at a friend’s mom’s salon. A few months later, I was able to lease a suite and take my clients there. My business took of fairly quickly and I decided to continue braiding post grad. In 2024, I attended and completed cosmetology school. I have been a full time braider for almost 5 years now and I just introduced natural hair services.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My biggest struggle was balancing being a full time cosmetology student and still servicing my clients.
We’ve been impressed with Alina Allure, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a master cosmetologist who specializes in braids. What sets my business apart from others is that I offer shampoo, blow dry, and trim services as an add on to your braid appointments.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
The best book to me for guidance in any area is the Bible
