Life & Work with Regina Koranteng of Snellville, GA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Regina Koranteng.

Hi Regina, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Niko’s Wine Corner was an existing wine shop that we purchased in 2021, during the pandemic. I’m a nurse by profession, and this wine shop was a haven for me during the pandemic. I knew little about wine, but when we found out it was on sale, I thought to myself that if I can be a nurse, then I definitely can learn about wine. I did my level one and two on the WSET and I’m looking forward to starting on my level three. I enjoy meeting people, communicating and sipping on wine, I call it fellowshipping. There is nothing like wining and dining with those you know and don’t know. We have wine tastings every Thursday evening, happy hour with half off the bar on Fridays, and events on weekdays or weekends. We serve and contribute to our community by giving them discounts and volunteering. We have a wine club membership and have wine and food pairings.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Finding time to be at the shop. I feel like when you’re getting older time is never enough. I wish I have more time to spend with the people I love.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I currently have a level 1 and 2 WSET, it is a globally recognized award for wine professionals. I’m also a registered nurse and love to take very good care of my clients. I’m known for treating the people I meet with kindness and dignity and try to answer their questions the best way I know how. Our customer service is top notch, putting the customer above everything else we do.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
The community have a been a great part of our success, and businesses around us supports us. There is a dance school here in Snellville called Triple Seven, and the owner bring the moms at the end of the year to eat and drink and fellowship with us. It’s a very successful event. I have individuals come and celebrate their birthdays and successes with us.
The next person is Shunte . She is a personal coach and mentor for people in the community and throughout Georgia. She is able to transform people and, in this day, and age, it is very much needed. Her email is info@purposedlifecoaching.com
