Today we’d like to introduce you to Nate Ward.

Hi Nate, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I was in a daily battle with Atlanta traffic, bogged down in endless meetings, and felt like grinding in the corporate environment became more taxing than rewarding. I was looking for a career with a purpose and decided seeking an LLC as a sole proprietor was the way to meet both my personal and professional goals. I noticed there was a demand for uniforms, marketing and promotional items, and company giveaways with decent margins. I took my experience in Operational Management over the past decade and applied it to my own business practices, starting a new, but scary journey of entrepreneurship.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has been challenging, no one tells you about the pitfalls of ownership. One of the biggest things that was not thought of was benefits. Having a business that offers medical, dental, vision, and even a 401k program you can contribute to is a huge consideration. Other little nuances such as tariffs placed on goods make it difficult to remain competitive with the larger competitors, and you quickly realize you’re swimming in a very large pool with even larger sharks.

We’ve been impressed with Hercules Graphics and Design, LLC., but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business was founded on fostering healthy relationships within the community. There are competitors in every arena, however, the guest experience is what truly sets us apart from the competition. We stand behind our product, admit our shortcomings, and do what we can to build trust in each of those relationships. We specialize in marketing and promotional items, and a wide variety of uniforms needs for any size business. We understand the importance of urgency, consistency, and transparency. I welcome the opportunity to personally meet with each of my clients, giving them the time and attention they need to express their vision, and its our job to make that become a reality. We do offer Graphic Design services, embroidery, DTF Printing, and laser engraving on various materials.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
In this industry the market can change in a drop of a hat, no pun intended! It is our job to stay open to change, stay on trend, and remain vigilant. New tools and software are being released yearly, it forces the industry leaders to quickly learn the programs, purchase the equipment and execute on the changes that are needed to remain competitive and successful.
