Life & Work with Ellen Andrades of Austell, GA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ellen Andrades.

Hi Ellen, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
The creation of “Ells In Motion” wasn’t just about workouts or wellness; it was about movement in every sense of the word. At the time, I was on a personal journey of transformation; physically, mentally, and emotionally. Fitness became my outlet, my therapy, and my reminder that progress is a lifestyle, not a destination.

What started as a simple Instagram fitness page grew into a platform that became a movement of self-discovery, empowerment, and evolution. I wanted to show my audience that they could be strong and stylish, disciplined yet expressive; and that the same confidence you bring to the gym can shine through every area of your life.

Fast forward to today, Ells In Motion has evolved into a brand that fuses my two biggest passions: Fitness and Fashion. I’ve always believed that how you move through life is reflected in how you show up. My mission is to inspire others, especially women, to move with purpose, confidence, and authenticity.

Ells in Motion isn’t just a fitness brand; it’s a lifestyle. It’s about finding balance, embracing your personal style, and celebrating every stage of your journey with grace and sophistication.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey to Ells In Motion hasn’t always been smooth. There were seasons when motivation ran low and life felt heavy. Between balancing responsibilities, personal challenges, and moments of self-doubt, I had to remind myself why I started in the first place.

There were days when I didn’t feel like working out, when my energy was off, or when I questioned if what I was doing was even making a difference. But those moments taught me resilience. I learned that progress doesn’t require perfection, just consistency. Even small steps forward count when you’re moving with intention.

That’s why my brand isn’t just about looking good or working out; it’s about staying in motion through every phase of life It’s for anyone who’s ever had to start over, find balance, or rebuild their confidence. Because movement isn’t just physical, it’s emotional, mental, and spiritual.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in providing online fitness inspiration that’s real and relatable, showing that a healthy lifestyle is about balance, self-love, and sustainability, not perfection. Through my content, I aim to motivate others to embrace fitness as a lifestyle, while reminding them that confidence starts from within.

Once of the things I love most about this journey is collaborating with other fitness professionals and creatives. Whether it’s partnering on workouts, content creation, or brand promotions, I enjoy building authentic connections that help others shine as well.

Of all of my projects, I’m especially proud of my summer fitness series, Lit Fit Bootcamp. Partnering with a local trainer and friend, Andrel Fit, we created high-energy outdoor bootcamps in the Smyrna, Ga area that blended music, movement and motivation. The bootcamps focused on creating an environment where people felt empowered, seen, and part of something uplifting and fun at the same time.

What truly sets me a part is my ability to merge fitness, fashion, and authenticity into one powerful message. I don’t just talk about transformation; I live it. I show that strength can be soft, confidence can be kind, and motion can be both physical and personal. My approach goes beyond aesthetics; it’s about helping others feel good, look good, and move with purpose.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I love most about Atlanta is the culture, it’s so diverse, vibrant, and full of energy. There’s always something happening, whether it’s a fitness event, a creative pop-up, or a business networking event. It’s a city that truly celebrates individuality and connection. Atlanta is also such a great place to network and build both professional and personal relationships. You never know who you’ll meet or how a simple conversation can turn into a meaningful collaboration.

On the flip side, I’d have to say how overpriced everything has become. From events to dining, it sometimes feels like you’re being charged just for stepping outside. It takes away a bit of the spontaneity and fun of exploring the city. There are times when I’d rather stay in than spend triple what something used to cost; but that is Atlanta and I will forever love my city.
