Meet Lynette Harvin of South Carolina

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lynette Harvin.

Lynette Harvin

Hi Lynette, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
“Hey everyone, I’m Lynette, owner of Mon Cherrie Mobile Bartending Services.

My journey started way before this was a business. I’ve always been the one bringing people together—at cookouts, birthdays, holidays—just mixing drinks and making everyone feel welcome. I loved creating cocktails and mocktails, adding my own little touch, and seeing how it brought joy to the room. What I realized was, it wasn’t just about the drink. It was about the experience, the vibe, the connection. And that’s what made me turn my passion into Mon Cherrie. Now I get to create fun, safe, unforgettable moments—whether someone wants a handcrafted cocktail or a delicious BYOB (Be Your Own Bartender) zero-proof mocktail. Everybody deserves to feel included. For me, mixology is about making people feel good, seen, and celebrated. And I’m grateful that what started from the heart has grown into something I get to share with others every day.”

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I’ll be honest—this journey hasn’t always been easy. When I started Mon Cherrie MBS, LLC, I had to learn a lot on my own. From figuring out permits and licenses, to building a client base from scratch, to just getting people to trust a new business—it tested me. There were moments where I had to sit down, regroup, and remind myself why I started. But every challenge taught me something. It taught me resilience. It taught me patience. It taught me how to be creative and how to keep showing up even when it felt hard. And today, I’m really proud of how far this has come. My love for mixology—whether it’s cocktails or mocktails—has grown into something bigger than just making drinks. It’s about bringing people together. It’s about the smiles, the conversations, the connections, and those unforgettable moments at celebrations that people remember forever. That’s the heart of Mon Cherrie. And I’m grateful I get to share that with every event I’m a part of.”

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
“So with Mon Cherrie Mobile Bartending Services, I specialize in creating memorable drink experiences for all types of events. I offer handcrafted cocktails and my BYOB Mocktails, because I want everyone to feel included—whether they drink alcohol or not. My mocktails have flavor, personality, and they still bring the fun to the party. I also offer Informative Mixology & Bartending 101 Classes. They’re perfect for anyone who wants to learn the craft—whether you’re trying to earn extra income, start your own bartending business, or just step your home bar game up. I teach responsible service, technique, flavor balance, and confidence behind the bar. What I’m really known for is the vibe. I don’t just serve drinks—I create an atmosphere where people feel welcome, seen, and celebrated. I’m proud because I built this from the ground up, and now I get to be a part of people’s most meaningful moments. What sets me apart is the care and intention behind everything I do. When you book Mon Cherrie, you’re getting more than bartending—you’re getting a whole experience.”

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
“What I really like about the city is the energy. There’s always something happening—celebrations, events, people coming together—and that’s perfect for what I do. I travel all over South Carolina, and even to places in North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida, but there’s something special about the vibe in Atlanta. Folks love to have a good time, they appreciate good service, and they show love. That excitement really fuels me and my business. Now… what I don’t like? The traffic. Whew! You definitely have to know how to maneuver these streets. If you don’t leave early, you’re not getting there on time. But honestly, even with that, I still love being part of everything going on in Atlanta.”
