Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Tahseen Haque.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My passion for weddings really took root through a personal journey—coordinating those big, beautiful family celebrations starting back in 2013. I’d done plenty of event logistics for student groups, but the intricate, deeply personal nature of a wedding was a completely different and captivating challenge. When I moved back to Atlanta in 2017, I spent several years gaining invaluable, hands-on experience as a coordinator for a prominent South Asian wedding planner, which grounded me in the industry. The real lightbulb moment, though, hit me hard in 2022. I was in the thick of pharmacy school—juggling full-time rotations, weekend exams, and trying to plan my own wedding—and the volume of communication for every little vendor was just overwhelming. That personal stress made me stop and think, “What if a planner could be more than just a coordinator? What if they could be a genuine one-stop shop for everything a busy bride needs?” That’s where the vision for Neeshat Events truly began.
Neeshat Events was officially created from that desire to lift the burden off other couples and offer a truly holistic kind of support in the Atlanta market. Many of the diverse skills we now offer—from creating custom digital art for invitations and designing intimate ceremony backdrops, to providing essential beauty services like henna, hair, makeup and professional saree draping—I personally taught myself while creatively navigating my own wedding budget. We even added our Social Media Content Creator service after realizing those unscripted, behind-the-scenes moments often get missed! Today, I’m thrilled to offer this bundled, comprehensive approach. My ultimate goal isn’t just to plan a wedding; it’s to provide the kind of comprehensive support that makes my clients feel genuinely taken care of, ensuring their entire celebration is joyful, seamless, and completely unforgettable.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey of launching Neeshat Events has been pretty smooth, and I owe that to making a very strategic decision. After going through my own challenging wedding planning experience while absolutely swamped in pharmacy school, I knew I needed to wait. So, I held off until I officially graduated to really map out the business logistics and solidify the unique, holistic services we offer. My biggest struggle isn’t with external setbacks, but purely the internal juggle—balancing a demanding 9-to-5 career in pharmacy with the incredibly rewarding 5-to-9 commitment of bringing wedding dreams to life. It makes for some very full days, but seeing the joy on my clients’ faces is what makes every late night completely worth it.
In the beginning, the most significant hurdle was earning a seat at the table within the established vendor community. It can be tough for a new business owner to get those initial chances. This is where my core philosophy of collaboration over competition became non-negotiable. Instead of focusing on fighting for market share, I actively reached out to assist other planners as a coordinator or offered our niche services to their clients. That willingness to help quickly allowed us to showcase our work, build mutual trust, and grow our reputation.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I approach wedding planning with a truly unique, dual perspective. By day, I’m a dedicated healthcare professional with a pharmacy doctorate; by night, and with equal passion, I am the founder of Neeshat Events. We specialize in American and South Asian weddings, but what we are truly known for is being a “One Stop Shop For Brides.” This unique offering was born from my own overwhelming wedding experience as a busy grad student, when I realized the immense stress of coordinating countless vendors for even simple services. My solution was to build a single entity that could handle a wide array of needs—making the planning process simpler, calmer, and more joyful.
What truly sets us apart is this integrated, holistic approach. We seamlessly combine traditional planning and day-of coordination with a diverse menu of in-house services, all designed to alleviate stress:
-Comprehensive Planning: Full, Partial, or Day-Of Coordination.
-Artistic Design: Custom Procreate digital drawings for stationery and personalized Decoration Services (backdrops, custom balloon garlands).
-Beauty Services: Henna Tattoos and professional beauty treatments, including makeup and saree draping.
-Real-Time Content: Our Social Media Content Creator service captures candid, behind-the-scenes moments instantly.
-Neeshat’s Café Services: Our newest venture, the Sip & Swirl Station mobile coffee cart, is a huge hit! We offer customized iced coffee, iced Thai tea, and iced matcha lattes. We prioritize healthier options by using sugar-free syrups for our iced coffee and matcha, along with options for regular or sugar-free cold foams—the perfect pick-me-up for event guests!
I am most proud of the peace of mind we bring to our clients. My background, combining artistic detail, clinical precision, and deep cultural understanding, allows me to offer a comprehensive, stress-alleviating solution that transforms wedding planning from a chore into a memorable collaboration.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
For me, success is defined not by the number of contracts signed, but by the joyful takeaway of my couples at the end of their wedding weekend. When a bride and groom are absolutely thrilled with how their celebration unfolded, that is the ultimate indicator that our hard work was worthwhile.
I never view a new client as just another project; I treat them as an extension of my own family. This means deeply investing in getting to know them, their families, and their cultural nuances so I can seamlessly integrate myself into their special weekend. This connection allows me to understand and execute every detail of their vision. While the unexpected can always pop up, since that’s just the nature of live events, my goal is always to provide calm, professional “damage control” to smoothly guide us back to the beautifully planned timeline. Ultimately, my definition of success is simple and pure: client happiness and satisfaction are the only true metrics that matter.
