Jocelyn, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
“I didn’t plan to start a business,” I laugh. “I just wanted peace.”
Urban Bliss was born from that search, a moment in my life where I was juggling motherhood, a full-time job, and my own healing. Reiki came first. It opened a door back to myself. From there came tarot, crystals, and the understanding that healing doesn’t have to look ancient or unreachable — it can be modern, stylish, and real.
What began as a few one-on-one sessions grew into a full metaphysical boutique and brand rooted in self-discovery. Urban Bliss became my way of showing that spirituality can have edge — candles and crystals, yes, but also discipline, intention, and a little luxury.
“At its core,” I say, “Urban Bliss is about alignment. Helping people awaken, heal, and evolve — not just in spirit, but in everyday life.”
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all — but the bumps are what made it meaningful. I started Urban Bliss while working full-time and raising my daughters, so balance was a constant challenge. There were moments I doubted myself, especially when things moved slower than I wanted or when I felt unseen.
Building a brand rooted in healing means you’re always doing your own healing, too. I had to face my fears, set boundaries, and learn that alignment sometimes requires isolation. There were financial stretches, creative blocks, and times I wanted to quit.
But every obstacle became part of the lesson — to trust divine timing, to move with intention, and to remember that purpose doesn’t always look pretty in the process. The road wasn’t smooth, but it shaped me into exactly who I needed to be to lead Urban Bliss.

I offer reiki, chakra balancing, crystal healing, cord-cutting sessions, and intuitive readings, along with hands-on workshops like Gem Sessions that blend sound, storytelling, and energy work.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Peace makes me happy. Flow makes me happy. I’ve learned that happiness isn’t just about big wins — it’s about waking up grounded, aligned, and grateful. I feel happiest when I’m creating — whether it’s curating crystals, hosting a class, or watching someone leave a session lighter than they came.
I love seeing people remember who they are — that moment their energy shifts, their eyes brighten, and they realize they’re powerful. That’s what keeps me going.
And honestly? Balance brings me joy too. A quiet morning, music playing, my girls laughing, candles burning — that’s bliss to me. It’s peace I didn’t always have, so now I protect it and pour it back into everything I do.
