We’re looking forward to introducing you to Paulette Kpannah-Jordan. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Paulette, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Outside of work, I’ve been finding a lot of joy in spending quality time with my family, traveling, playing golf, and attending events with close friends. These experiences help me stay grounded and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Paulette Kpannah, MSN, FNP-C, FNP-BC, and I’m the founder of Pure Health and Wellness, a medical practice in Marietta, Georgia. Pure Health and Wellness was built on the belief that true wellness comes from balance; feeling confident, healthy, and empowered both physically and emotionally. We specialize in weight management, aesthetic treatments, and holistic wellness care designed to meet each patient where they are on their journey.
Our space was created to be warm, welcoming, and judgment-free. Patients often tell us that they feel truly seen, heard, and cared for here, and that means everything to me. I wanted to build more than a clinic; I wanted to build a safe space for transformation.
What sets our brand apart is our deeply personal approach as we listen, guide, and celebrate every milestone with our patients. I’m passionate about helping people take control of their health and rediscover their confidence, and that passion continues to shape everything we do.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who taught you the most about work?
I would say my aunts taught me the most about work. Growing up, I watched them balance so much with grace, being mothers, professionals, and leaders in their own right. They showed me that women can be both nurturing and ambitious, that we don’t have to choose between family and career. Their example taught me the value of hard work, independence, and perseverance, and that’s something I carry with me every day in my own journey.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear that has held me back the most at times has been the fear of failure. I’ve always worked hard and poured so much of myself into everything I do, especially building Pure Health and Wellness from the ground up, so the idea of not succeeding was intimidating. Over time, though, I’ve learned to see failure differently. Each challenge or setback has taught me something valuable and ultimately pushed me to grow stronger, more resilient, and more confident in my purpose.”
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, I’d definitely say the public version of me is the real me. What you see at Pure Health and Wellness, my passion for helping others, my love for wellness, and my genuine care for people is who I am every day.
Of course, when I’m at work, I’m a little more polished and focused, but my personality doesn’t change. I try to bring the same warmth, honesty, and positivity to my patients that I bring to my family and friends. I believe people connect best when you’re authentic, so I always show up as myself, whether I’m in the clinic or out in the community.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people will remember me as someone kind, caring, dependable, and always willing to go above and beyond for others. My greatest goal has always been to leave the world a little better than I found it.
Through Pure Health and Wellness, I’ve tried to help people feel seen, supported, and capable of change. One of the ways I’ve carried that mission forward is by creating a weight loss journal, now available on Etsy. I made it intentionally with the thought that even when I’m no longer here, others could still benefit from my knowledge, compassion, and thoughtfulness. Knowing that something I created might continue to inspire and guide others long after I’m gone brings me a deep sense of peace and purpose.
More than anything, I hope people say I lived with purpose and joy, and that I used my gifts to help others become the best version of themselves.
