Scott, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
We got started in Jonesboro in late 2020 when a friend mentioned to us about his enthusiasm about the executive office space business in the area. After looking at the City and seeing the historic downtown area in Jonesboro, we fell in love with the people and the opportunity to provide businesses with a comfortable, welcoming location to build their business or nonprofit.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road, but it has been an absolute joy over time as we acquired, renovated, and placed businesses here. The City was patient with our learning and assisted by holding events and being open to discussing zoning and other requirements. We can’t say enough good things about Mayor Sartor and her Team. The Clayton Chamber of Commerce has also been helpful.
As you know, we’re big fans of Historic Jonesboro Executive Office Suites. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We specialize in providing low-cost, high value added solutions for small and medium-sized businesses. What sets us aparts from others is the support that we provide the businesses there including free access to large spaces for ongoing events to promote their businesses and nonprofits, monthly in-person business meetings to compare notes, network, and promote businesses. We encourage members to participate in the City of Jonesboro Downtown Development Authority, other volunteer opportunnities and to grow!
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
It’s great to be an optimist and completely recommended! However, it often takes longer than you think to reach an objective. So start early and plan to work a little harder than you may have thought necessary to reach that goal. Believe in people and it will come back to you 10-fold.
