Daily Inspiration: Meet The Justin Douglas

Today we’d like to introduce you to The Justin Douglas.

Hi The Justin, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’m a celebrity makeup artist turned multi-hyphenate creative who built my entire career from the ground up. I came to Atlanta with a dream, a brush, and no safety net, and turned that into a decade of work on shows like Love & Hip Hop and The Braxtons, two magazine covers with Kontrol, and my debut book, Soft Glam, Real Talk. Every challenge I face becomes content, purpose, and fuel. My story is simple: reinvent, rise, repeat.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road has definitely not been smooth. I’ve dealt with inconsistent work, personal losses, moments of self-doubt, and even having my entire makeup kit stolen right before a major shoot. But every setback sharpened me. I learned to rebuild, rebrand, and rise with even more purpose.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a celebrity makeup artist and creative who specializes in soft glam that translates beautifully on camera. I’ve spent a decade shaping looks for shows like Love & Hip Hop Atlanta and The Braxtons, and I recently expanded into authorship and media with my book Soft Glam, Real Talk and my series Motivational Mondays, now fully archived on IMDb.
What sets me apart is my ability to combine beauty, storytelling, and emotion. I don’t just do makeup, I create moments, confidence, and clarity for the people I work with. I’m most proud of building a career, a brand, and a voice that I created completely on my own.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
My most important quality is resilience. No matter what happens, setbacks, stolen kits, cancellations, or unexpected life moments, I find a way to rebuild, refocus, and show up stronger every time.
