Daily Inspiration: Meet Joshua Miller

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joshua Miller.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
It started one spring around 2015/16 while I was in still living in Tennessee. I was coming to Atlanta for my birthday and my uncle, who was living here at the time told me I could help him build a deck to make some extra birthday money. Once I helped him complete it, it was like I found my calling. I then started putting all my time into learning about the business and before you know it, in 2019 I launched Renovation Kingz LLC

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has had its ups and downs. I had 0 help so I had to figure it all out on my own. I’m the ambitious type so I’ll jump off a ledge and build a plane on the way down lol. But, overall it has been a very fascinating journey. Some struggles have been finding good help sometimes, seasonal changes like in the winter months everything slows down some years, and learning that running a business requires many hats and you will get burned out trying to wear them all. But being that I have wore every hat I know what to expect whenever I delegate a hat to someone else. Overall my highs outweigh all the lows I’ve come across. Being an entrepreneur truly brings out the best in you.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I remodel homes for a living, with a specialty in carpentry, epoxy flooring/countertops, and Venetian Plaster walls. I’m known for my amazing finishes and excellent customer service. What sets me apart from most is the luxurious aspect we bring to our clients. Our Moto is “Creating Heaven in Homes” so we like to leave our clients with something they can be proud of and fall in love with every day that they see the work we created.
I am also a music producer and have been doing so for 18 years.
I’m an author and currently I have published 2 books: Mental Magic 101, & 102. They explain how everyday we’re constantly creating our reality whether we’re conscious of it or not. I show people how to take control of it.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I like best about Atlanta is the mindset of the creatives, entrepreneurs, and every day workers. I love how the city supports one another. I’m big on group economics and circulating our dollar and Atlanta has been excellent at showing the rest of the country exactly how to do that. What I like the least of course………..is the traffic lol. But I’ve learned a lot more patience and gratitude and stop taking it personally.
