Hi Miesha , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I got started by majoring in Mass Communication at Bennett College for Women in Greensboro, NC. I did TV/Film/Radio Production. I was the Executive Producer for a TV show started by Mentor D. Cherie Lofton. May she forever rest in peace. Moving on from there I worked in areas of radio promotions, and marketing for companies such as MCA Records, Universal, Island Def Jam, and more.
Fast Forward to now, I stated Miesha Lynette, LLC for coaching, managing, counseling, consulting, intertwining my background in the entertainment industry, with my background in mental health.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been a pretty smooth road, but there have been challenges at times. Juggling several businesses at one time can be difficult, but there is nothing else I’d rather be doing.

Miesha Lynette, LLC is an agency that specializes in coaching, management, counseling and consulting for people in the entertainment industry. I use my clinical social work skills to motivate creatives to soar to their highest potential in their careers and in life.
Whole Family Healing Group, LLC is an outpatient mental health therapy group that provides mental health services to individuals, families, couples and children. I am licensed to diagnose, treat and manage mental health and substance use disorders.
What sets me apart from others is that I am a trained and licensed mental health professional, not someone who only has a coaching certificate. I am licensed by a board to practice. I had to complete thousands of hours of clinical practice, pass exams, and keep up with my continuing education every year for all of my licenses. With my experience in entertainment, along with my background in mental health, I’m well equipped to address and handle a variety of issues that affect entertainment professionals on and off stage. I’ve been on the front lines for both industries and know what modalities are needed.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Resiliency, Honesty, Transparency, Loyalty, Integrity, being knowledgeable of your customers, being culturally competent, and having complete and total Faith in God. Those are just some of what I feel is most important to my success.
I also started a platform called MentalTainment to provide a safe space for Artists to discuss their challenges with Mental Health and how the maintain their career in entertainment and how it impacts their social and family relationships.
