Today we’d like to introduce you to Ceilidh Cayenne.
Hi Ceilidh, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I have always enjoyed storytelling from a young age, and decided to start a YouTube channel centered around my life’s stories as well as exploring the world around me. My name means a night time of storytelling, drinking, and dancing, and I think in my adventures I live up to that. I’ve lived a lot in these 29 years, and sharing my experiences makes it so other people that feel isolated can have a safe internet space to explore as well.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been about 11 years of having my channel active and it was difficult at first to get comfortable recording myself, and even being more expressive for the camera knowing people I know would watch. That nervousness still creeps up every now and again, and I have to psych myself up to record.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Aside from Youtube, I create other content across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. I also like to model when opportunities become available, as well as plan events and decorate spaces. I like to have multiple things happening at once so I feel busy consistently.
How do you think about happiness?
Little positive surprises, like trying a new drink that becomes an obsession for the next few months. I love the small details in life, so if I’m thinking of someone and they text me or anything along those lines it’ll put a smile on my face. I really love when people I don’t already know comment on and share my stuff, it’s nice to know some of the support is coming from people that really connect with something you put out.
