Today we’d like to introduce you to Kayla White.
Hi Kayla, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started my natural skin care line during the pandemic five years ago, inspired by my passion for creating products that are safe, effective, and nourishing. In the early days, I spent countless hours formulating and testing recipes in my kitchen, sharing samples with friends and family to gather feedback. Over time, I gained confidence in my products and decided to start selling them locally.
To grow my brand, I participated in multiple pop-up shops, which were invaluable for networking, advertising, and introducing my products to new customers. These events not only helped me build recognition but also provided me with direct feedback that shaped the evolution of my line. Through consistent effort, word-of-mouth marketing, and genuine connections with my community, my brand has grown into something I’m truly proud of today.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Finding the right idea for marketing and bringing it to life has been a bit of a challenge. There were moments when I felt stuck, unsure how to visually communicate my message in a way that would connect with my audience. However, using Canva has been a game-changer. It allowed me to take my concepts and turn them into polished, professional designs quickly. While the journey hasn’t been without its hurdles, learning to leverage the right tools has made the process smoother and more rewarding.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m an aspiring cosmetic dermatologist with a passion for working with all kinds of people. I am most proud of my ability to connect with diverse individuals and provide compassionate care tailored to their unique needs. My focus is on understanding different skin types, conditions, and challenges, which allows me to approach dermatology with sensitivity and empathy. What sets me apart is my commitment to building genuine relationships with patients and helping them feel comfortable, supported, and confident in their skin.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
The thing I like best about Atlanta is all the amazing food spots and the wide variety of activities happening around the city. There’s always something fun to do and new places to try.
What I like least about Atlanta is the growing homelessness problem. It’s hard to see so many people in need, and it makes me wish there were more solutions and support available for them.
