Today we’d like to introduce you to Deidre Handsome.
Deidre, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started creating content my senior year of high school as a fun outlet and a way to document my college journey. As I grew up, my content evolved with me. Navigating PCOS, eczema, and the ups and downs of early adulthood pushed me deeper into self-care, self-love, and wellness. I started sharing how I was finding myself through healing routines, better habits, and manifesting the life I wanted. That authenticity resonated, and over time it built a community of women who connected with my story. What began as a hobby became a purpose-driven platform centered on wellness, beauty, and intentional living.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Managing PCOS, eczema, and hormonal issues while trying to build my career and show up consistently online was a real challenge. There were times when my health affected my energy, confidence, and even my ability to film or stay consistent. Balancing real life, work, and content creation wasn’t always easy, but those struggles taught me discipline, patience, and how to give myself grace. They also shaped the kind of creator I am — someone who leads with honesty, wellness, and real-life transparency.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a content creator who focuses on holistic wellness, soft fitness, hormone and PCOS support, and beauty — especially for Black women. I specialize in creating relatable, realistic routines that make self-care and wellness feel attainable, not overwhelming. I’m known for my supplement routines, skincare and body care content, soft fitness challenges, and lifestyle videos that blend healing, manifestation, and intentional living.
What I’m most proud of is the community I’ve built. Women consistently tell me that my content makes them feel seen, supported, and motivated to take better care of themselves. Knowing that my personal journey is helping others improve their health, confidence, and mindset means everything to me.
What sets me apart is my transparency. I don’t create from a place of perfection — I create from experience. I share the real process of managing PCOS, eczema, hormone imbalance, and building healthier habits while balancing everyday life. I think my blend of honesty, education, and feminine, calming content is what makes my platform unique and keeps my audience connected.
What does success mean to you?
I define success as never giving up, no matter what obstacles show up along the way. For me, success isn’t about perfection or a certain milestone — it’s about resilience. It’s the commitment to keep going, keep growing, and keep showing up for yourself even when life gets difficult. As long as I’m moving forward and refusing to quit, I consider that success.
