Today we’d like to introduce you to Anyae Monroe.
Hi Anyae , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Over time, my passion for helping others naturally blended with another love of mine: cooking. What began as preparing meals for family, friends, and people in need slowly transformed into something much larger. That passion eventually led me to launch Yae’s Eats & Catering LLC, a business built on community, comfort, and connection.
As my catering company grew, I realized that the work went far beyond serving food at events. It became a way to pour back into the very communities that shaped me. Through donated meals, holiday support for families, and showing up during moments when people need it most, giving has remained at the core of everything I do.
Today, I’m proud to say that Yae’s Eats has become more than just a catering business—it’s a vehicle for impact. My journey is still unfolding, but the mission has never changed: to serve with compassion, uplift my community, and feed people in every sense of the word.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all—and honestly, I think the challenges are a big part of what shaped me and my business. When I first started, I didn’t have a roadmap, a mentor, or a big budget. I was learning everything as I went, balancing my passion for cooking with the realities of running a business. There were moments when I questioned whether I was doing the right thing or if I had taken on too much.
One of the biggest struggles was managing resources while still trying to give back. I’ve always had a heart for helping families in need, but there were times when I was pouring from an empty cup—financially, emotionally, and physically. Figuring out how to support others while still keeping my business afloat took time, discipline, and a lot of prayer.
Building Yae’s Eats & Catering LLC also meant making sacrifices. Long nights, last-minute cancellations, equipment issues, staffing challenges—things the public rarely sees. There were seasons where I had to push through exhaustion and keep showing up because quitting was never an option. Every setback became a lesson, and every lesson made me stronger.
But even with all the bumps along the way, I wouldn’t trade the journey. Those struggles taught me resilience, faith, and the importance of staying grounded in my purpose. They’re the reason I’m able to serve my clients and my community with so much intention today.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Yae’s Eats & Catering LLC?
Yae’s Eats & Catering LLC is more than a catering company—it’s an experience centered around flavor, hospitality, and heart. We specialize in Southern-inspired cuisine with an upscale, modern twist, offering everything from intimate dinners to large weddings, corporate events, private parties, and community gatherings. We don’t just show up, serve food, and leave—we create moments. Our goal is to make every event feel special, every guest feel cared for, and every plate feel like it was made specifically for them.
I’m incredibly proud of how far the brand has come. Yae’s Eats started from humble beginnings and has grown into a respected name rooted in consistency, quality, and community. We’re not just here to cook—we’re here to make an impact, one plate at a time.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes me happiest is seeing people enjoy what I’ve created—whether it’s a meal, an event, or a moment of connection. There’s something incredibly fulfilling about taking my passion for food and turning it into an experience that brings joy, comfort, and togetherness.
I also find happiness in giving back. Whether it’s donating meals to families in need or helping my community during the holidays, knowing that I’ve made someone’s day a little brighter is deeply rewarding. Food has a way of connecting people, and being able to use my skills to uplift others reminds me why I started this journey in the first place.
At the end of the day, what brings me the most joy is seeing the impact of what I do—not just on plates, but on people’s hearts. It’s a mix of purpose, creativity, and love, and that combination keeps me inspired every single day.
