Pamela Myles on Life, Lessons & Legacy

Pamela Myles shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Good morning Pamela, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Something outside of work that’s bringing me joy lately is serving as a member of the Advisory Board for the Shaquille O’Neal Boys and Girls Club in McDonough, Georgia. It’s incredibly rewarding to see the positive impact the organization has on supporting families and youth in our community. Recently, we hosted our Brews, Barrels, and Bottles fundraising event, and we exceeded our goal! It made me feel proud to be part of a team that’s truly making a difference and giving back in meaningful ways.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Pamela Myles, the CEO and Founder of Myles Select Ultra Premium Vodka and Red Oaks Distribution, both headquartered in Georgia. My journey into the spirits industry began with a simple vision — to create a vodka that embodies excellence, culture, and authenticity. Myles Select Vodka is crafted to deliver a clean, smooth finish that’s as refined as it is versatile — perfect for sipping neat or elevating any cocktail experience.

Through Red Oaks Distribution, a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) with the Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council, I’ve built a company that not only distributes premium brands like Myles Select Vodka, but also opens doors for other minority-owned and emerging brands to thrive in the beverage industry.

What makes our story special is the blend of business strategy and community purpose behind every bottle. With over 20 years of experience in corporate IT and leadership, I bring a results-driven mindset to entrepreneurship — but my greatest fulfillment comes from giving back. Whether it’s supporting youth programs through the Shaquille O’Neal Boys & Girls Club or hosting fundraising events that uplift local families, community impact is at the heart of everything I do.

Right now, I’m focused on expanding Myles Select Vodka’s reach across multiple states and introducing our premium portfolio to new markets through curated tasting events, restaurant partnerships, and cultural celebrations. For me, this journey is about more than spirits — it’s about excellence, empowerment, and inspiring others to pursue their passions with purpose.

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My husband, Regi Myles, saw me clearly long before I could see myself. In a space where women — especially women of color — are rarely at the forefront, he recognized the leader in me when I was still finding my footing. I had the vision and the drive to uplift other spirit brand owners, to share what I’d learned and open doors that once felt closed, but I hadn’t yet grasped how far that vision could reach.

Regi did. He saw the bigger picture — the impact, the legacy, the movement — and he never stopped reminding me that I belonged in the room, and at the head of the table. His faith in me turned hesitation into confidence, and his support turned dreams into reality. For that, I will always appreciate him and forever love him.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There was a moment when I almost gave up. It happened when our first distributor cancelled our contract — and it couldn’t have come at a worse time. Everything I had built and believed in felt uncertain in that instant. But instead of letting that setback define me, I used it as fuel. That “no” became the spark that led to the creation of Red Oaks Distribution.

What began as a moment of disappointment transformed into a defining chapter of empowerment. Today, I stand proudly as the only Black female distributor of my own vodka brand in the state of Georgia — and I’ve never regretted that decision for a single moment. It taught me that sometimes the doors that close are simply pointing you toward the ones you’re meant to build yourself.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say that my family, my sorority, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and giving back to my community.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I am with my family. I especially love cooking for them and celebrating all milestones.
