Today we’d like to introduce you to Pilar Stolarczyk.
Hi Pilar, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Baking has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. It taught me patience, creativity, and the joy of putting care into something for someone else. I did not know it then, but those same instincts would guide me once I found my way into real estate.
I began by helping a few people close to me and immediately felt how natural the work was. Real estate can feel intimidating, and I have always been someone who likes to bring clarity and comfort into big moments. Everything I learned through baking preparation, consistency, attention to detail became the foundation of how I support clients.
As my business grew, the baking side stayed woven into my approach. It was never meant as a gimmick. It was simply a genuine part of who I am, and clients connected with the warmth behind it. That authenticity helped shape a brand that feels welcoming and grounded.
Today my work reflects that blend. A mix of strong systems, creativity, and real care for the people who trust me with important transitions. It has been an unconventional path, but it feels exactly right for who I am.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not been a perfectly smooth road. Real estate has a steep learning curve, and a lot of the process feels like building something in real time. Even with support in my personal life, I still had to create structure and momentum in a field where nothing is handed to you.
One of the biggest challenges has been managing the slow periods. You can study, network, prepare materials, and do everything right, but results do not show up immediately. Staying patient and consistent during those stretches takes discipline. Another hurdle has been learning how to shape a brand and a workflow from scratch. I wanted my approach to feel warm, organized, and thoughtful, and creating that foundation takes time before any opportunities appear.
There is also the mental side of it. When you are starting out, it is easy to question whether you are doing enough or doing it right. Commission based work demands persistence, planning, and a strong internal drive long before you see proof that it is working.
Even so, the challenges have helped me grow. They pushed me to build better systems, strengthen my communication, and stay committed to the kind of experience I want to provide once I begin working with clients. The road has not been effortless, but it has shaped me into someone who is prepared and ready for the next step.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
The Baking Agent is a boutique real estate brand that focuses on thoughtful preparation and a high level of personal service. I combine real estate work with the hospitality mindset I learned through baking, which gives the brand a very welcoming and detail oriented feel.
A lot of my work centers on organization, education, and helping people understand each step before they reach it. I like creating a calm environment with clear expectations and well prepared materials. The baking influence shows up in the structure of my process. Everything is planned, tested, and presented with care.
What sets the brand apart is the mix of warmth and precision. It is friendly and approachable, but also very intentional. I want people to feel supported and steady during a major transition, and I want the experience to feel personal from the first conversation to the final step.
I am proud that The Baking Agent has a strong identity. It reflects my personality and the way I naturally work. It is focused, organized, and genuinely welcoming, and it allows me to build a real estate practice that feels true to who I am.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
What I like best about Atlanta is the blend of creativity, culture, and comfort. It is a large, diverse city, yet it still manages to feel welcoming. People here are open, warm, and proud of their neighborhoods, and each area has its own personality. I love how easy it is to find good food, interesting local businesses, and communities that genuinely care about the people around them.
What I like least is how challenging it can be to traverse the city. Traffic and transit sometimes make short trips feel much longer than they should. It can also be hard for people who prefer walkable areas or a slower pace to know which neighborhoods fit that lifestyle. Even so, Atlanta is evolving, and more areas are prioritizing thoughtful development and green space.
