Hidden Gems: Meet Joseph M of Grind By Faith Music Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joseph M.

Hi Joseph, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?

I believe courage and determination set the foundation for our journey. Jacob, Rapheal, and I decided to build something of our own by amplifying talent—especially from Africa and the diaspora. Over time, we expanded into multiple genres including pop, R&B, and even rock, becoming a diverse music company built by musicians who truly love the craft.

I come from humble beginnings, and I believe a higher power has guided both me and the company with purpose.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey has definitely not been smooth. Being independent comes with its own set of challenges, but we learned to focus on what we do best—leveraging relationships and providing what many companies simply can’t. I can’t take all the credit; it has always been a true team effort.

Our social media team, A&R department, sync department, and touring team all work together to find balance and alignment. We make sure everything we put out is executed at the highest level, even with limited resources. That’s what grinding with faith truly looks like.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Grind By Faith Music Group?
Grind By Faith Music Group is an independent, multi-genre music company dedicated to discovering, developing, and amplifying talent from around the world—especially from Africa and the diaspora. We specialize in artist development, A&R, sync licensing, touring, and strategic brand partnerships. Our goal is to create opportunities for artists who may not have access to traditional industry resources while delivering high-quality music and authentic storytelling.

What sets us apart is our foundation of faith, resilience, and genuine love for music. We are artists and creatives ourselves, which allows us to understand our talent on a deeper level and advocate for them in ways larger companies often can’t. We prioritize relationships, integrity, and community, and we work tirelessly to elevate every artist we collaborate with.

One of the things I’m most proud of is our ability to operate at a high level with limited resources—proving that vision, consistency, and purpose can build something real. At Grind By Faith Music Group, we want people to see that independent doesn’t mean small; it means empowered.

Readers should know that our brand stands for quality, authenticity, and opportunity. Whether it’s music, partnerships, or creative services, we aim to deliver excellence rooted in purpose.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
One thing I’d like readers to know is that Grind By Faith is bigger than music—it’s a movement built on purpose, resilience, and belief. We’re committed to creating opportunities for the next generation of artists, especially those who come from overlooked communities and cultures.

I also want to encourage anyone reading this to keep going, even when the path isn’t clear. Your faith, consistency, and discipline will take you places talent alone can’t. Our journey is living proof of that.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our story and our mission. The best is still ahead.
