Daily Inspiration: Meet Daniel Abadie

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniel Abadie.

Hi Daniel, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My passion for voiceover began as a young boy when I entertained my family and friends with play-by-play accounts of my favorite sporting events, sparking an interest in both public speaking and the performing arts.

I was diagnosed at an early age on the autism spectrum and, thereafter, started speech therapy. Over the years, I was blessed with many therapists who used various modalities to help me manage my disability. Throughout my life, I often wondered if my voice and perspective would matter. With the support of many inspirational mentors, I gained the confidence to explore various ways to use my voice to tell a story. I often use my personal mantra when describing myself to prospective clients as, “I may start out as a light breeze in the wind, but over time I will become a force of nature.”

I graduated with honors in 2018 from the Georgia Cyber Academy and also completed my associate’s degree in 2025 from Lanier Technical College. In the meantime, I also trained to become a voiceover actor through the Such A Voice program, which I completed in 2020.

After finishing the “Synergies Work” I2I program for entrepreneurs with disabilities, I started my own voice-over production company, Vivid Vocals VO, LLC – a voice for every story. Some of my recent work includes narration videos, explainer videos, audio dubbing, and an audiobook narration.

One of my true passions is using my voice to raise awareness about the potential of others with disabilities. I have been a panelist on The Harkins Institute’s 2021 series “Entrepreneurs, Startups, and Integrating DI into Tomorrow’s Companies” and a moderator and panelist for the 2022 Georgia Council on Developmental Disabilities’ Employment Advocacy Day.

From 2022 – 2024, I narrated voter education videos intended for people with low vision, which were created and produced by “Save My Vote, GA,” These videos helped educate the disability community on how they could vote in upcoming elections in Georgia. I also provided English audio dubbing for characters in the hit South Korean animated series, “PotenDogs,” a show about humans interacting with heroic dogs who can talk, transform, and battle evildoers to protect the peaceful balance between humans and canines. In 2025, I narrated an audiobook for the Amazon bestseller, “Case Studies in Disability-Driven Innovation,” by Robert Ludke, which highlights how individuals, entrepreneurs, and corporations are harnessing the unique perspectives of people with disabilities to create ground-breaking solutions, expand markets, and drive meaningful social change.

Besides voiceover acting, I also enjoy discussing history and sports trivia. In my free time, you can always find me entertaining family and friends alike with my witty humor and modest, positive outlook on life.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Life is full of challenges for everyone at different points in time. If you face these challenges with conviction, integrity, and humility, you have a good chance of reaching your goals. At a young age, my parents were told that I may have difficulty communicating with others. Through hard work and time, I was able to prove that assessment wrong by not only speaking but also learning to use my voice as a platform for advocating for myself and others.

The thought of starting my own voiceover brand was intimidating; however, with the support of my family and organizations like Synergies Work, I was able to market myself as both a voice actor and freelance entrepreneur. There has been a learning curve along the way in areas such as marketing and finance, but support from colleagues and family has been instrumental in my growth in these fields.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I completed my voiceover training one week before the pandemic of 2020. One of my first jobs was actually related to COVID-19 awareness. I have also been a voice for disability advocacy organizations (Block by Block Creative) and non-profits (Mana de Vida).

At the beginning of my journey, I knew I had to promote myself as a voice actor. I started my own LLC and created a website (https://vividvocalsvo.com/) that showcases my background, professional demos, services offered, testimonials, and answers to frequently asked questions. Since I was new to the industry, I also included a segment called “Story Bytes,” which features audio and/or video narrations to highlight my fondness for history and storytelling.

The genres I have voiced include, but are not limited to, commercials, web narrations, animations, audiobooks, and audio descriptions. My recent accomplishment includes my character narration in the “PotenDogs” series on streaming services such as Prime Video and Tubi. I enjoyed the challenge of portraying a character using a variety of different voices. My largest body of work was narration of the audiobook, “Case Studies in Disability-Driven Innovation,” by Robert Ludke. I worked closely with the author for three months, recording, reviewing, and editing the nonfiction case studies outlined in the book.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
As part of the Synergies Work I2I program, I was matched with a mentor who helped me establish my LLC, and met with me monthly to provide support and direction. Her mentorship was invaluable in helping me to network with others.

Networking with other voiceover artists has been beneficial in both my personal and professional life. By establishing a presence on LinkedIn, I have connected with other voiceover artists around the world, which has led to new job opportunities and insight into industry rates and metrics. The voiceover community is filled with talented artists who support each other in their individual journeys.
