Meet Phoebe Langan of Wax Bunny LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Phoebe Langan.

Hi Phoebe, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I was 17 years old when I decided to start school to become an Esthetician. I completed my training hours and became a Licensed Esthetician by the age of 18. I spent most of my career focusing on waxing and it started to become my passion. For about 6 years I worked for other business owners in spa or salon settings. In 2021 I decided it was time for me to become a solo Esthetician and start my own business.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
When I left my previous job I had little to no access to any of my previous clients. I knew I would essentially be starting my career from scratch when I went out on my own on such short notice, however I saw an opportunity and I knew I had to take it. I anticipated the beginning of my business to be quite and uphill battle. Much to my surprise though, I was waking up every day to messages and friend requests from my previous clients trying to figure out where I went, and when they could come and see me again. The amount of support I received was more than I ever expected, and it made my transition to self employment much smoother than I anticipated.

We’ve been impressed with Wax Bunny LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Wax Bunny LLC is owned and operated solely by myself, Phoebe Langan. I provide full body and facial waxing services, specializing in Brazilian waxes. My expertise comes from 10 years of offering professional services to clients with all skin and hair types, and from all walks of life. I pride myself in giving clients the most gentle and pleasant waxing experience that they can possibly receive. My clients are not only incredibly valued, but are like friends and family to me. As a business owner I love getting to be in control of their entire experience, and ensuring that they are treated the best that they possibly can be, every single time.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
My first mentor, Beth was the one who who truly inspired me to be an Esthetician. I saw her dedication to her clients, and her passion for all things skin and hair, and was enthralled by it. She showed utmost empathy and kindness to everyone around her, and that became the same approach I took when I began my journey.
Aside from fellow Estheticians, my husband has been my biggest cheerleader. When you are doing something new and scary, you need people around you who believe in you. My husband has always been that person for me without question.
