Today we’d like to introduce you to Destiny Feemster.
Hi Destiny, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey began at North Carolina Central University, where I earned my degrees in Finance and Marketing, and developed a deep passion for lifelong learning and community building. After graduating, I went on to earn my Master’s in Education, and began my career as an educator, where I realized the power of storytelling and how it can shape young minds. This led me to write and publish eight children’s books, and later launch a social club for moms to create a supportive network for women balancing family and personal growth. As a business owner, I’m committed to empowering others, and helping them connect through meaningful experiences while nurturing their own personal and professional ambitions.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but every challenge has been a lesson. One of the biggest struggles has been balancing the demands of being an educator, a business owner, and a mom while trying to maintain my own personal well-being. There were times when self-doubt crept in, especially when I first started writing my children’s books and putting myself out there as an entrepreneur. I also faced the challenge of building a supportive community from scratch, and learning how to manage the ups and downs of being a business owner. But each obstacle has only fueled my drive to keep going, knowing that I’m building something that not only supports my dreams but also helps others along the way.
We’ve been impressed with M.O.M.O.S.A. Society, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
M.O.M.O.S.A. Society is a curated social club created specifically for modern, fun, and laid-back moms who crave connection, balance, and experiences that feel both refreshing and affirming.
We specialize in hosting beautifully designed, gatherings from chic brunches and curated dining experiences to wellness mornings and adventurous outings around Charlotte, that help moms build genuine friendships while rediscovering the parts of themselves outside of motherhood.
What truly sets us apart is our focus on effortless luxury and authenticity; moms simply show up, and we handle the vibe, the details, and the atmosphere that makes every event feel special and photo-worthy.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of creating a space that honors motherhood while also celebrating womanhood, reminding moms that joy, sisterhood, and self-care are not luxuries but necessities.
I want readers to know that M.O.M.O.S.A. Society is more than a social club; it’s a community built to make motherhood feel lighter, more connected, and a lot more fun. Whether you’re looking for friendship, a break, or new adventures, we’ve created a place where you can truly exhale and feel seen. ✨
What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory is making jewelry with my aunt and selling them at her hair salon. I’ve always had a bit of an entrepreneurial spirit.
