Check Out Adrian Morris’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adrian Morris.

Adrian, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
American comics and Japanese manga. Those are the two things that have inspired me to create my own comics, write stories, and create artwork. As a kid, I fell in love with the medium. I remember reading comics like Captain Underpants, Archie, Bone, and eventually Japanese comics like Dragon Ball Z and Naruto. Inspired by all those adventures, goofy comedies, and action packed stories that I read, I set out to draw my own.

I remember always drawing and creating some kind of story to share with my siblings or even my classmates at school. The older I’ve gotten the more I want to draw. And now as an adult, my mission is to create stories that encourage, inspire, and entertain in Jesus’ name. I hope to write and draw stories that do just that while glorifying Jesus in the process.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The biggest struggle and road block I’ve had is my own mind. Whether it comes from my introverted personality or shyness as a kid I’ve always been my own worst critic and the hardest on myself. I seek to master drawing but sometimes I find myself overthinking and comparing myself to other people instead of just being myself. Thank God for: 2 Corinthians 12:8-10 and Matthew 6:33-34. The entire Bible actually.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m sharing what I’ve learned about drawing on Youtube, Instagram, and Patreon. I specialize in creating comics and illustrations inspired by Japanese manga with the influence of the Bible shaping how I write and draw stories. Even though I am still my own worst critic, I’m most proud of my ability to never give up. I will never give up and I hope your readers don’t give up either. We got this!
