Check Out Eric Benford II’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eric Benford II.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My road has definitely not been smooth. It’s been a long journey with plenty of hardships—personally, creatively, and professionally. Coming up in the entertainment world, I had to teach myself almost everything: music, visuals, editing, directing, and even how to market myself. There were moments where resources were limited, opportunities fell through, and I had to rely on pure passion and resilience to keep going.

I’ve dealt with doubt, setbacks, and times when it felt like the world wasn’t hearing me. But every challenge sharpened my creativity and pushed me to become more versatile. Those struggles are the reason I’m able to do what I do today at such a high level. They built my vision, my work ethic, and my commitment to my craft.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a multi-disciplinary creator—an artist who works across music, film, and visual storytelling. I record, write, and arrange my own music, but I also handle the entire visual side of my creative world: photography, videography, set design, and video editing. I’ve built my identity around being able to take a concept from nothing and turn it into a complete experience, both sonically and visually.
I specialize in cinematic storytelling. My music has an emotional, melodic edge, and the visuals I create are designed to feel like short films—bold, dramatic, and intentional. What I’m most proud of is that I’ve developed all of these skills on my own. Every video, every photo, every set, every edit, every song—my hands are on all of it. That independence taught me how to communicate emotion through both sound and imagery.

What sets me apart is my vision and versatility. I’m not just an artist who makes music—I’m a full creative system. I can conceptualize, direct, shoot, edit, write, and perform. I’m able to build my world exactly how I imagine it without waiting on anyone else. That level of creative control gives my work a distinct style: bold, cinematic, emotional, and unmistakably mine.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love that Warner Robins is a tight-knit community with a lot of heart. It’s a place where people know each other and support local talent, which makes it feel personal and connected. Being so close to Macon, which has such a rich musical history, gives me inspiration every day—it’s a reminder that even from a smaller city, world-class creativity can come to life.

Like many smaller cities, opportunities in the music industry can be limited, and you sometimes have to travel or look beyond the area to find bigger platforms. But I see that as motivation—it pushes me to work harder, create independently, and make my own lane.
