Today we’d like to introduce you to Wakkirea Levatte.

Hi Wakkirea, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always been passionate about art. From a very young age, I knew I wanted to be an artist. Creating came naturally to me .As a kid, I was always drawing, painting, and finding ways to turn my imagination into something real. Art became my safe space — a way to express feelings I couldn’t always put into words.
I officially began my journey after graduating high school, turning my passion into something real and meaningful. I started by selling my first paintings at local markets, which gave me the confidence and motivation to keep going. Seeing people connect with my work for the first time was a powerful moment and confirmed that art was more than a hobby for me — it was my calling.
In my work, you’ll see beauty, community, culture, love, emotion, and storytelling. Every piece I create is rooted in purpose and passion, and my goal is to inspire others and create work that people can feel connected to.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
One of my biggest challenges as an artist has been living in a small town. While it has shaped me in beautiful ways, it also comes with limitations — fewer art spaces, fewer networking opportunities, and fewer creative communities to connect with in person. Traveling to events, markets, and shows takes extra planning, time, and resources, which hasn’t always been easy.

Not having instant access to a large creative network has sometimes felt isolating, but it also pushed me to build my own space online. I learned how to connect, collaborate, and share my work beyond my surroundings. What started as a challenge became motivation — to expand my reach, travel more, and make my voice heard outside of where I started.

Living in a small town didn’t stop me. It made me more determined to grow, connect, and create opportunities for myself no matter where I’m located.

I’m an artist, painter, photographer, and content creator known for vibrant, expressive visuals that tell powerful stories through color, culture, and emotion.I’m most proud of building my creative journey from the ground up and turning my passion into a multifaceted brand. What sets me apart from others is my multiple passions and talents — I don’t just create, I tell stories through painting, photography, and content creation. My work is deeply rooted in emotion, culture, and real-life experiences, which helps my audience feel seen and connected. I bring authenticity, heart, and versatility into everything I do.

What makes you happy?
What makes me happy is creating pieces that genuinely bring me joy and being able to create freely without being put into a box or limited creatively. I love expressing myself without restrictions and allowing my work to evolve naturally. I also find it incredibly rewarding to receive feedback from people who connect with my work — knowing that my art can inspire, move, or resonate with someone makes the process even more meaningful to me.
