Today we’d like to introduce you to Haddie Hood.
Hi Haddie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Dr. Haddie Hood is a seasoned Registered Nurse with nearly 30 years of diverse clinical experience, known for her commitment to healing, leadership, and personal transformation. She began her nursing career as a young mother determined to build a strong foundation for her family, earning her LPN and later her RN while navigating significant life challenges.
Her journey through adversity, including the loss of her newborn son, deepened her compassion and solidified her calling to support others through faith and holistic healing. Today, Dr. Hood serves as a Pastor, author, mentor, and health coach, blending clinical expertise with spiritual insight to help individuals discover their identity, restore their confidence, and walk in purpose.
Across every platform—from healthcare to ministry—she empowers people to rise, rebuild, and embrace the life God designed for them.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
When I look back over my life, I can see just how many mountains I had to climb to get here. I didn’t have the luxury of easing into adulthood — I became a mother young, and that meant growing up fast. While my friends were figuring out their next steps, I was balancing diapers, textbooks, and a future I refused to let slip away.
I also walked through a ten-year abusive marriage that tested everything in me — mentally, emotionally, and physically. Leaving wasn’t easy, but staying would’ve cost me even more. Rebuilding my life while raising my children and trying to pursue my education was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.
Then came the season that shook me to my core — losing my newborn son. That kind of pain doesn’t just break your heart; it rearranges your entire world. I pushed through depression and emotional numbness, still showing up for my family, still pushing toward my goals, even when my spirit felt heavy.
I’ve juggled school, work, motherhood, ministry, and marriage — sometimes with support, sometimes without it. There were seasons when I carried everything on my shoulders and kept going because stopping simply wasn’t an option.
But every struggle, every setback, every storm taught me something. It shaped the woman I am today — strong, faith-filled, compassionate, and committed to helping others heal and rise.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson Dr. Hood has learned on her journey is that healing and purpose grow out of every storm you survive. Through early motherhood, abusive relationships, personal loss, depression, and rebuilding her life multiple times, she discovered that strength isn’t something you wait to feel — it’s something you cultivate by choosing to rise, even when it hurts.
She learned that God often uses the hardest seasons to shape identity, sharpen discernment, and reveal calling. Every chapter taught her to trust God more deeply, to honor her own worth, and to stop shrinking in spaces where she was created to lead.
Most importantly, she learned that purpose is not defined by titles or accomplishments, but by the impact you make when you serve with authenticity, compassion, and courage. Her journey showed her that nothing is wasted — not the pain, not the setbacks, not the transitions. Each one became part of her ministry, her voice, and her ability to help others heal and walk boldly into who they were created to be.
