Today we’d like to introduce you to Mariana Shelton.

Hi Mariana, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
For as far as I could remember, I have always been interested in beauty. I always enjoyed seeing beauty transformations along with the confidence a woman holds after receiving said enhancements. I promised myself when I got in the position to do so, I wanted to be the ultimate “Girls Girl”. I wanted to provide a plethora of services and product lines that made my girls not only look good but also feel good! This started for me in 2016, while at the Unsinkable Albany Staye University! If you needed it (beauty related of course), I had it! I went from selling beauty supply strip lashes, to having my own Mink Lash Collection, to now doing individual lash applications (not only to my campus girlies, but also locals), to expanding my knowledge and providing mink extension services etc. Now I am fully knowledgeable and experience in this area and provide many more services such as: brow tinting /microshading, teeth whitening/jeweling, and many more to come! Pretty soon, I will be expanding my current business, turning it into my own full service medspa utilizing my newly obtained nursing degree!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Just like anything in life, no this journey has not been smooth, but it’s mine & I own it! Every trial, tribulation, mishap etc. are stepping stones toward something much bigger. Without going through things in this journey, I wouldn’t be where I am today or even know as much as I do now. I’m grateful for the bumps in road. Some of the struggles include but aren’t limited to: 1. Not knowing! So when I first started I had no idea of what to do, how to start, etc. That in itself made it a bit hard for me to get the ball rolling. 2. Learning that everything can’t always be taken personal. We often run into people or situations that may try to break us, or anything attached to us down. Regardless, I had to learn to that things for what they were and keep pushing. 3. Starting over. From the day I started my business I found myself starting back from square one. I never used this as an excuse to stop though. I am the type of person that will always complete what I’ve started. Therefore this alone made me want to keep growing and glowing until I got my business where it needed to be. ( There is still always room for more growth of course)

My business is located South of Atlanta in Fairburn,Ga. I am know to be an amazing Lash tech first and foremost, but I also offer brow services ( brow arching, lamination, tint & Microshading) & teeth services (teeth whitening and teeth jeweling), crafting services etc.! Pretty soon those will be of the smaller services I offer once I expand my business to a full service medspa/ aesthetic nursing business! When coming to get serviced by me, it’s more than just that. I build relationships with my clients and show that I really care. It shows in my work! I really do take pride in what I do. I am as stated earlier in the interview, a Girls Girl!

I am most proud of how I grew my business from the ground up on my own! I am really happy about the relationships I’ve obtained in this industry , the money I have made, and the knowledge I have spread, etc.
